समयशब्देनात्र सामान्येन सर्व एवार्थोऽभिधीयते, समयत एकीभावेन स्वगुणपर्यायान् गच्छतीति निरुक्तेः । ततः सर्वत्रापि धर्माधर्माकाशकालपुद्गलजीवद्रव्यात्मनि लोके ये यावन्तः केचनाप्यर्थास्ते सर्व एव स्वकीयद्रव्यान्तर्मग्नानन्तस्वधर्मचक्रचुम्बिनोऽपि परस्परमचुम्बन्तोऽत्यन्त-
bhāvārthaḥ — jīv nāmanī vastune padārtha kahel chhe. ‘jīv’ evo akṣharono samūh te ‘pad’ chhe ane te padathī je dravyaparyāyarūp anekāntasvarūpapaṇun nishchit karavāmān āve te padārtha chhe. e jīvapadārtha utpād-vyay-dhrauvyamayī sattāsvarūp chhe, darshanagnānamayī chetanāsvarūp chhe, anantadharma- svarūp dravya chhe, dravya hovāthī vastu chhe, guṇaparyāyavāḷo chhe, tenun svaparaprakāshakagnān anekākārarūp ek chhe, vaḷī te (jīvapadārtha) ākāshādithī bhinna asādhāraṇ chaitanyaguṇasvarūp chhe ane anya dravyo sāthe ek kṣhetramān rahevā chhatān potānā svarūpane chhoḍato nathī. āvo jīv nāmano padārtha samay chhe. jyāre te potānā svabhāvamān sthit hoy tyāre to svasamay chhe ane parasvabhāv – rāgadveṣhamoharūp thaīne rahe tyāre parasamay chhe. e pramāṇe jīvane dvividhapaṇun āve chhe.

gāthārthaḥ — [एकत्वनिश्चयगतः] ekatvanishchayane prāpta je [समयः] samay chhe te [लोके] lokamān [सर्वत्र] badhey [सुन्दरः] sundar chhe [तेन] tethī [एक त्वे] ekatvamān [बन्धकथा] bījānā sāthe bandhanī kathā [विसंवादिनी] visamvād – virodh karanārī [भवति] chhe.
ṭīkāḥ — ahīn ‘samay’ shabdathī sāmānyapaṇe sarva padārtha kahevāmān āve chhe kāraṇ ke vyutpatti pramāṇe ‘समयते’ eṭale ekībhāve (ekatvapūrvak) potānā guṇaparyāyone prāpta thaī je pariṇaman kare te samay chhe. tethī dharma-adharma-ākāsh-kāḷ-pudgal-jīvadravyasvarūp lokamān sarvatra je koī jeṭalā jeṭalā padārtho chhe te badhāy nishchayathī (nakkī) ekatvanishchayane prāpta hovāthī

प्रत्यासत्तावपि नित्यमेव स्वरूपादपतन्तः पररूपेणापरिणमनादविनष्टानन्तव्यक्तित्वाट्टङ्कोत्कीर्णा इव तिष्ठन्तः समस्तविरुद्धाविरुद्धकार्यहेतुतया शश्वदेव विश्वमनुगृह्णन्तो नियतमेकत्वनिश्चयगतत्वेनैव सौन्दर्यमापद्यन्ते, प्रकारान्तरेण सर्वसङ्करादिदोषापत्तेः । एवमेकत्वे सर्वार्थानां प्रतिष्ठिते सति जीवाह्वयस्य समयस्य बन्धकथाया एव विसंवादापत्तिः । कुतस्तन्मूलपुद्गलकर्मप्रदेश- स्थितत्वमूलपरसमयत्वोत्पादितमेतस्य द्वैविध्यम् । अतः समयस्यैकत्वमेवावतिष्ठते ।
अथैतदसुलभत्वेन विभाव्यते —
ja sundaratā pāme chhe kāraṇ ke anya prakāre temān sarvasaṅkar ādi doṣho āvī paḍe. kevā chhe te sarva padārtho? potānā dravyamān antarmagna rahel potānā anant dharmonā chakrane (samūhane) chumbe chhe — sparshe chhe topaṇ jeo paraspar ekabījāne sparsha karatā nathī, atyant nikaṭ ekakṣhetrāvagāharūpe rahyā chhe topaṇ jeo sadākāḷ potānā svarūpathī paḍatā nathī, pararūpe nahi pariṇamavāne līdhe anant vyaktitā nāsh pāmatī nathī māṭe jeo ṭaṅkotkīrṇa jevā (shāshvat) sthit rahe chhe ane samasta viruddha kārya tathā aviruddha kāryanā hetupaṇāthī jeo hammeshān vishvane upakār kare chhe — ṭakāvī rākhe chhe. ā pramāṇe sarva padārthonun bhinna bhinna ekapaṇun siddha thavāthī jīv nāmanā samayane bandhakathāthī ja visamvādanī āpatti āve chhe; to pachhī bandh jenun mūḷ chhe evun je pudgalakarmanā pradeshomān sthit thavun, te jenun mūḷ chhe evun parasamayapaṇun, tenāthī utpanna thatun (parasamay-svasamayarūp) dvividhapaṇun tene (jīv nāmanā samayane) kyāthī hoy? māṭe samayanun ekapaṇun hovun ja siddha thāy chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — nishchayathī sarva padārtha potapotānā svabhāvamān sthit rahye ja shobhā pāme chhe. parantu jīv nāmanā padārthanī anādi kāḷathī pudgalakarma sāthe nimittarūp bandh-avasthā chhe; te bandhāvasthāthī ā jīvamān visamvād khaḍo thāy chhe tethī te shobhā pāmato nathī. māṭe vāstavik rīte vichāravāmān āve to ekapaṇun ja sundar chhe; tenāthī ā jīv shobhā pāme chhe.

ṭīkāḥ — ā samasta jīvalokane, kāmabhogasambandhī kathā ekapaṇāthī viruddha hovāthī atyant visamvādī chhe (ātmānun atyant būrun karanārī chhe) topaṇ, pūrve anant vār sāmbhaḷavāmān āvī chhe, anant vār parichayamān āvī chhe ane anant vār anubhavamān paṇ āvī chūkī chhe. kevo chhe jīvalok? je sansārarūpī chakranā madhyamān sthit chhe, nirantarapaṇe dravya, kṣhetra, kāḷ, bhav ane bhāvarūp anant parāvartone līdhe jene bhramaṇ prāpta thayun chhe, samasta vishvane ekachhatra rājyathī vash karanār moṭun moharūpī bhūt jenī pāse baḷadanī jem bhār vahevaḍāve chhe, jorathī phāṭī nīkaḷelā tr̥uṣhṇārūpī roganā dāhathī jene antaraṅgamān pīḍā pragaṭ thaī chhe, ākaḷo banī banīne mr̥ugajaḷ jevā viṣhayagrāmane (indriyaviṣhayonā samūhane) je ghero ghāle chhe ane je paraspar āchāryapaṇun paṇ kare chhe (arthāt bījāne kahī te pramāṇe aṅgīkār karāve chhe). tethī kāmabhoganī kathā to saune sulabh (sukhe prāpta) chhe. paṇ nirmaḷ bhedagnānarūp prakāshathī spaṣhṭa bhinna dekhavāmān āve chhe evun mātra ā bhinna ātmānun ekapaṇun ja — je sadā pragaṭapaṇe antaraṅgamān prakāshamān chhe topaṇ kaṣhāyachakra ( – kaṣhāyasamūh) sāthe ekarūp jevun karavāmān āvatun hovāthī atyant tirobhāv pāmyun chhe ( – ḍhaṅkāī rahyun chhe) te — potāmān anātmagnapaṇun hovāthī ( – pote ātmāne nahi jāṇato hovāthī) ane bījā ātmāne jāṇanārāonī saṅgati – sevā

कदाचिदपि श्रुतपूर्वं, न कदाचिदपि परिचितपूर्वं, न कदाचिदप्यनुभूतपूर्वं च निर्मलविवेकालोक- विविक्तं केवलमेकत्वम् । अत एकत्वस्य न सुलभत्वम् ।
nahi karī hovāthī, nathī pūrve kadī sāmbhaḷavāmān āvyun, nathī pūrve kadī parichayamān āvyun ane nathī pūrve kadī anubhavamān āvyun. tethī bhinna ātmānun ekapaṇun sulabh nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ — ā lokamān sarva jīvo sansārarūpī chakra par chaḍī pāñch parāvartanarūp bhramaṇ kare chhe. tyān temane mohakarmanā udayarūp pishāch dhonsare joḍe chhe, tethī teo viṣhayonī tr̥uṣhṇārūp dāhathī pīḍit thāy chhe ane te dāhano ilāj indriyonā rūpādi viṣhayone jāṇīne te par doḍe chhe; tathā paraspar paṇ viṣhayono ja upadesh kare chhe. e rīte kām (viṣhayonī ichchhā) tathā bhog (temane bhogavavun) — e benī kathā to anant vār sāmbhaḷī, parichayamān līdhī ane anubhavī tethī sulabh chhe. paṇ sarva paradravyothī bhinna ek chaitanyachamatkārasvarūp potānā ātmānī kathānun gnān potāne to potāthī kadī thayun nahi, ane jemane te gnān thayun hatun temanī sevā kadī karī nahi; tethī tenī kathā (vāt) na kadī sāmbhaḷī, na teno parichay karyo ke na teno anubhav thayo. māṭe tenī prāpti sulabh nathī, durlabh chhe.
have āchārya kahe chhe ke, tethī ja jīvone te bhinna ātmānun ekatva ame darshāvīe chhīeḥ —
gāthārthaḥ — [तम्] te [एकत्वविभक्त] ekatvavibhakta ātmāne [अहं] hun [आत्मनः] ātmānā [स्वविभवेन] nij vaibhav vaḍe [दर्शये] dekhāḍun chhun; [यदि] jo hun [दर्शयेयं] dekhāḍun to [प्रमाणं] pramāṇ (svīkār) karavun ane [स्खलेयं] jo koī ṭhekāṇe chūkī jāun to [छलं] chhaḷ [न] na [गृहीतव्यम्] grahaṇ karavun.

इह किल सकलोद्भासिस्यात्पदमुद्रितशब्दब्रह्मोपासनजन्मा, समस्तविपक्षक्षोदक्षमाति- निस्तुषयुक्त्यवलम्बनजन्मा, निर्मलविज्ञानघनान्तर्निमग्नपरापरगुरुप्रसादीकृ तशुद्धात्मतत्त्वानुशासन- जन्मा, अनवरतस्यन्दिसुन्दरानन्दमुद्रितामन्दसंविदात्मकस्वसंवेदनजन्मा च यः कश्चनापि ममात्मनः स्वो विभवस्तेन समस्तेनाप्ययं तमेकत्वविभक्तमात्मानं दर्शयेऽहमिति बद्धव्यवसायोऽस्मि । किन्तु यदि दर्शयेयं तदा स्वयमेव स्वानुभवप्रत्यक्षेण परीक्ष्य प्रमाणीकर्तव्यम् । यदि तु स्खलेयं तदा तु न छलग्रहणजागरूकैर्भवितव्यम् ।
ṭīkāḥ — āchārya kahe chhe ke je kāī mārā ātmāno nijavaibhav chhe te sarvathī hun ā ekatva-vibhakta ātmāne darshāvīsh evo men vyavasāy (udyam, nirṇay) karyo chhe. kevo chhe mārā ātmāno nijavibhav? ā lokamān pragaṭ samasta vastuono prakāsh karanār ane ‘स्यात्’ padanī mudrāvāḷo je shabdabrahma — arhantanān paramāgam — tenī upāsanāthī jeno janma chhe. (‘स्यात्’no artha ‘kathañchit’ chhe eṭale ke ‘koī prakārathī kahevun’. paramāgamane shabdabrahma kahyān tenun kāraṇaḥ arhantanān paramāgamamān sāmānya dharmo — vachanagochar sarva dharmo — nān nām āve chhe; ane vachanathī agochar je koī visheṣh dharmo chhe temanun anumān karāvavāmān āve chhe; e rīte te sarva vastuonān prakāshak chhe māṭe sarvavyāpī kahevāmān āve chhe, ane tethī temane shabdabrahma kahe chhe.) vaḷī te nijavibhav kevo chhe? samasta je vipakṣha — anyavādīothī grahaṇ karavāmān āvel sarvathā ekāntarūp nayapakṣha — temanā nirākaraṇamān samartha je atinistuṣh nirbādh yukti tenā avalambanathī jeno janma chhe. vaḷī te kevo chhe? nirmaḷavignānaghan je ātmā temān antarnimagna paramaguru – sarvagnadev ane aparaguru — gaṇadharādikathī māṇḍīne amārā guru paryant, temanāthī prasādarūpe apāyel je shuddhātmatattvano anugrahapūrvak upadesh, tenāthī jeno janma chhe. vaḷī te kevo chhe? nirantar jharato — āsvādamān āvato, sundar je ānand tenī chhāpavāḷun je prachurasamvedanasvarūp svasamvedan, tenāthī jeno janma chhe. em je je prakāre mārā gnānano vibhav chhe te samasta vibhavathī darshāvun chhun. jo darshāvun to svayamev (pote ja) potānā anubhav-pratyakṣhathī parīkṣhā karī pramāṇ karavun; jo kyāy akṣhar, mātrā, alaṅkār, yukti ādi prakaraṇomān chūkī jāun to chhal (doṣh) grahaṇ karavāmān sāvadhān na thavun. shāstrasamudranān prakaraṇ bahu chhe māṭe ahīn svasamvedanarūp artha pradhān chhe; tethī arthanī parīkṣhā karavī.
bhāvārthaḥ — āchārya āgamanun sevan, yuktinun avalamban, parāpar guruno upadesh ane svasamvedan — e chār prakāre utpanna thayel potānā gnānanā vibhavathī ekatva-vibhakta shuddha ātmānun svarūp dekhāḍe chhe. tene sāmbhaḷanārā he shrotāo! potānā svasamvedan-pratyakṣhathī pramāṇ karo; kyāy koī prakaraṇamān bhūlun to eṭalo doṣh grahaṇ na karavo em kahyun chhe. ahīn potāno anubhav pradhān chhe; tenāthī shuddha svarūpano nishchay karo — em kahevāno āshay chhe.

यो हि नाम स्वतःसिद्धत्वेनानादिरनन्तो नित्योद्योतो विशदज्योतिर्ज्ञायक एको भावः स संसारावस्थायामनादिबन्धपर्यायनिरूपणया क्षीरोदकवत्कर्मपुद्गलैः सममेकत्वेऽपि द्रव्यस्वभाव- निरूपणया दुरन्तकषायचक्रोदयवैचित्र्यवशेन प्रवर्तमानानां पुण्यपापनिर्वर्तकानामुपात्तवैश्वरूप्याणां शुभाशुभभावानां स्वभावेनापरिणमनात्प्रमत्तोऽप्रमत्तश्च न भवति । एष एवाशेषद्रव्यान्तरभावेभ्यो भिन्नत्वेनोपास्यमानः शुद्ध इत्यभिलप्यते ।
have prashna ūpaje chhe ke evo shuddha ātmā koṇ chhe ke jenun svarūp jāṇavun joīe? e prashnanā uttararūp gāthāsūtra kahe chheḥ —
gāthārthaḥ — [यः तु] je [ज्ञायकः भावः] gnāyak bhāv chhe te [अप्रमत्तः अपि] apramatta paṇ [न भवति] nathī ane [न प्रमत्तः] pramatta paṇ nathī, — [एवं] e rīte [शुद्धं] ene shuddha [भणन्ति] kahe chhe; [च यः] vaḷī je [ज्ञातः] gnāyakapaṇe jaṇāyo [सः तु] te to [सः एव] te ja chhe, bījo koī nathī.
ṭīkāḥ — je pote potāthī ja siddha hovāthī (koīthī utpanna thayo nahi hovāthī) anādi sattārūp chhe, kadī vināsh pāmato nahi hovāthī anant chhe, nityaudyotarūp hovāthī kṣhaṇik nathī ane spaṣhṭa prakāshamān jyoti chhe evo je gnāyak ek ‘bhāv’ chhe, te sansāranī avasthāmān anādi bandhaparyāyanī nirūpaṇāthī (apekṣhāthī) kṣhīranīranī jem karmapudgalo sāthe ekarūp hovā chhatān, dravyanā svabhāvanī apekṣhāthī jovāmān āve to durant kaṣhāyachakranā udayanī ( – kaṣhāy- samūhanā apār udayonī) vichitratānā vashe pravartatā je puṇya-pāpane utpanna karanār samasta anekarūp shubh-ashubh bhāvo temanā svabhāve pariṇamato nathī (gnāyak bhāvathī jaḍ bhāvarūp thato nathī) tethī pramatta paṇ nathī ane apramatta paṇ nathī; te ja samasta anyadravyonā bhāvothī bhinnapaṇe upāsavāmān āvato ‘shuddha’ kahevāy chhe.

न चास्य ज्ञेयनिष्ठत्वेन ज्ञायकत्वप्रसिद्धेः दाह्यनिष्ठदहनस्येवाशुद्धत्वं, यतो हि तस्यामवस्थायां ज्ञायकत्वेन यो ज्ञातः स स्वरूपप्रकाशनदशायां प्रदीपस्येव कर्तृकर्मणोरनन्यत्वात् ज्ञायक एव ।
vaḷī dāhyanā ( – baḷavāyogya padārthanā) ākāre thavāthī agnine dahan kahevāy chhe topaṇ dāhyakr̥ut ashuddhatā tene nathī, tevī rīte gneyākār thavāthī te ‘bhāv’ne gnāyakapaṇun prasiddha chhe topaṇ gneyakr̥ut ashuddhatā tene nathī; kāraṇ ke gneyākār avasthāmān gnāyakapaṇe je jaṇāyo te svarūp- prakāshananī (svarūpane jāṇavānī) avasthāmān paṇ, dīvānī jem, kartā-karmanun ananyapaṇun hovāthī gnāyak ja chhe — pote jāṇanāro māṭe pote kartā ane potāne jāṇyo māṭe pote ja karma. (jem dīpak ghaṭapaṭādine prakāshit karavānī avasthāmāy dīpak chhe ane potāne — potānī jyotirūp shikhāne — prakāshavānī avasthāmān paṇ dīpak ja chhe, anya kāī nathī; tem gnāyakanun samajavun.)
bhāvārthaḥ — ashuddhapaṇun paradravyanā sanyogathī āve chhe. tyān mūḷ dravya to anya dravyarūp thatun ja nathī, mātra paradravyanā nimittathī avasthā malin thaī jāy chhe. dravya-draṣhṭithī to dravya je chhe te ja chhe ane paryāy(avasthā)-draṣhṭithī jovāmān āve to malin ja dekhāy chhe. e rīte ātmāno svabhāv gnāyakapaṇun mātra chhe, ane tenī avasthā pudgalakarmanā nimittathī rāgādirūp malin chhe te paryāy chhe. paryāyanī draṣhṭithī jovāmān āve to te malin ja dekhāy chhe ane dravyadraṣhṭithī jovāmān āve to gnāyakapaṇun to gnāyakapaṇun ja chhe, kāī jaḍapaṇun thayun nathī. ahīn dravyadraṣhṭine pradhān karī kahyun chhe. je pramatta-apramattanā bhed chhe te to paradravyanā sanyogajanit paryāy chhe. e ashuddhatā dravyadraṣhṭimān gauṇ chhe, vyavahār chhe, abhūtārtha chhe, asatyārtha chhe, upachār chhe. dravyadraṣhṭi shuddha chhe, abhed chhe, nishchay chhe, bhūtārtha chhe, satyārtha chhe, paramārtha chhe. māṭe ātmā gnāyak ja chhe; temān bhed nathī tethī te pramatta-apramatta nathī. ‘gnāyak’ evun nām paṇ tene gneyane jāṇavāthī āpavāmān āve chhe kāraṇ ke gneyanun pratibimb jyāre jhaḷake chhe tyāre gnānamān tevun ja anubhavāy chhe. topaṇ gneyakr̥ut ashuddhatā tene nathī kāraṇ ke jevun gney gnānamān pratibhāsit thayun tevo gnāyakano ja anubhav karatān gnāyak ja chhe. ‘ā hun jāṇanāro chhun te hun ja chhun, anya koī nathī’
tyāre e jāṇavārūp kriyāno kartā pote ja chhe ane jene jāṇyun te karma paṇ pote ja chhe. āvo ek gnāyakapaṇāmātra pote shuddha chhe. — ā shuddhanayano viṣhay chhe. anya parasanyogajanit bhedo chhe te badhā bhedarūp ashuddhadravyārthikanayano viṣhay chhe. ashuddhadravyārthikanay paṇ shuddha dravyanī draṣhṭimān paryāyārthik ja chhe tethī vyavahāranay ja chhe em āshay jāṇavo.

asatyārtha na mānavo; kāraṇ ke syādvād pramāṇe shuddhatā ane ashuddhatā — banne vastunā dharma chhe ane vastudharma chhe te vastunun sattva chhe; ashuddhatā paradravyanā sanyogathī thāy chhe e ja pher chhe. ashuddhanayane ahīn hey kahyo chhe kāraṇ ke ashuddhanayano viṣhay sansār chhe ane sansāramān ātmā klesh bhogave chhe; jyāre pote paradravyathī bhinna thāy tyāre sansār maṭe ane tyāre klesh maṭe. e rīte duḥkh maṭāḍavāne shuddhanayano upadesh pradhān chhe. ashuddhanayane asatyārtha kahevāthī em na samajavun ke ākāshanā phūlanī jem te vastudharma sarvathā ja nathī. em sarvathā ekānt samajavāthī mithyātva āve chhe; māṭe syādvādanun sharaṇ laī shuddhanayanun ālamban karavun joīe. svarūpanī prāpti thayā pachhī shuddhanayanun paṇ ālamban nathī rahetun. je vastusvarūp chhe te chhe — e pramāṇadraṣhṭi chhe. enun phaḷ vītarāgatā chhe. ā pramāṇe nishchay karavo yogya chhe.
ahīn, (gnāyakabhāv) pramatta-apramatta nathī em kahyun chhe tyān ‘pramatta-apramatta’ eṭale shun? guṇasthānanī paripāṭīmān chhaṭhṭhā guṇasthān sudhī to pramatta kahevāy chhe ane sātamāthī māṇḍīne apramatta kahevāy chhe. parantu e sarva guṇasthāno ashuddhanayanī kathanīmān chhe; shuddhanayathī ātmā gnāyak ja chhe.

आस्तां तावद्बन्धप्रत्ययात् ज्ञायकस्याशुद्धत्वं, दर्शनज्ञानचारित्राण्येव न विद्यन्ते; यतो ह्यनन्तधर्मण्येकस्मिन् धर्मिण्यनिष्णातस्यान्तेवासिजनस्य तदवबोधविधायिभिः कै श्चिद्धर्मैस्तमनुशासतां सूरीणां धर्मधर्मिणोः स्वभावतोऽभेदेऽपि व्यपदेशतो भेदमुत्पाद्य व्यवहारमात्रेणैव ज्ञानिनो दर्शनं ज्ञानं चारित्रमित्युपदेशः । परमार्थतस्त्वेकद्रव्यनिष्पीतानन्तपर्यायतयैकं किञ्चिन्मिलितास्वादम- भेदमेकस्वभावमनुभवतो न दर्शनं न ज्ञानं न चारित्रं, ज्ञायक एवैकः शुद्धः ।
ṭīkāḥ — ā gnāyak ātmāne bandhaparyāyanā nimittathī ashuddhapaṇun to dūr raho, paṇ ene darshan, gnān, chāritra paṇ vidyamān nathī; kāraṇ ke anant dharmovāḷā ek dharmīmān je niṣhṇāt nathī evā nikaṭavartī shiṣhyajanane, dharmīne oḷakhāvanārā keṭalāk dharmo vaḍe, upadesh karatā āchāryono — joke dharma ane dharmīno svabhāvathī abhed chhe topaṇ nāmathī bhed upajāvī — vyavahāramātrathī ja evo upadesh chhe ke gnānīne darshan chhe, gnān chhe, chāritra chhe. parantu paramārthathī jovāmān āve to anant paryāyone ek dravya pī gayun hovāthī je ek chhe evun kāīk — maḷī gayelā āsvādavāḷun, abhed, ekasvabhāvī tattva — anubhavanārane darshan paṇ nathī, gnān paṇ nathī, chāritra paṇ nathī, ek shuddha gnāyak ja chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — ā shuddha ātmāne karmabandhanā nimittathī ashuddhapaṇun āve chhe e vāt to dūr ja raho, paṇ tene darshan, gnān, chāritranā paṇ bhed nathī; kāraṇ ke vastu anantadharmarūp ek dharmī chhe. parantu vyavahārī jan dharmone ja samaje chhe, dharmīne nathī jāṇatā; tethī vastunā koī asādhāraṇ dharmone upadeshamān laī abhedarūp vastumān paṇ dharmonā nāmarūp bhedane utpanna karī evo upadesh karavāmān āve chhe ke gnānīne darshan chhe, gnān chhe, chāritra chhe. ām abhedamān bhed karavāmān āve chhe tethī te vyavahār chhe. paramārthathī vichāravāmān āve to anant paryāyone ek dravya abhedarūpe pīne beṭhun chhe tethī temān bhed nathī.
ahīn koī kahe ke paryāy paṇ dravyanā ja bhed chhe, avastu to nathī; to tene vyavahār kem kahī shakāy? tenun samādhānaḥ — e to kharun chhe paṇ ahīn dravyadraṣhṭithī abhedane pradhān karī upadesh chhe. abhedadraṣhṭimān bhedane gauṇ kahevāthī ja abhed sārī rīte mālūm paḍī shake chhe. tethī bhedane gauṇ karīne tene vyavahār kahyo chhe. ahīn evo abhiprāy chhe ke bhedadraṣhṭimān nirvikalpa dashā nathī thatī ane sarāgīne vikalpa rahyā kare chhe; māṭe jyān sudhī rāgādik maṭe nahi tyān sudhī bhedane gauṇ karī abhedarūp nirvikalpa anubhav karāvavāmān āvyo chhe. vītarāg thayā bād bhedābhedarūp vastuno gnātā thaī jāy chhe tyān nayanun ālamban ja rahetun nathī.

vyavahārījan paṇ ‘ātmā’ evo shabda kahevāmān āvatān jevo ‘ātmā’ shabdano artha chhe te arthanā gnānathī rahit hovāthī kāī paṇ na samajatān meṇḍhānī jem āṅkho phāḍīne ṭagaṭag joī ja rahe chhe, paṇ jyāre vyavahār-paramārtha mārga par samyaggnānarūpī mahārathane chalāvanār sārathī samān anya koī āchārya athavā to ‘ātmā’ shabda kahenār pote ja vyavahāramārgamān rahīne ‘‘darshan-gnān-chāritrane je hameshān prāpta hoy te ātmā chhe’’ evo ‘ātmā’ shabdano artha samajāve chhe tyāre turat ja utpanna thatā atyant ānandathī jenā hr̥udayamān sundar bodhataraṅgo (gnānataraṅgo) ūchhaḷe chhe evo te vyavahārījan te ‘ātmā’ shabdano artha sundar rīte samajī jāy chhe. e rīte jagat mlechchhanā sthāne hovāthī, ane vyavahāranay paṇ mlechchhabhāṣhānā sthāne hovāne līdhe paramārthano pratipādak (kahenār) hovāthī vyavahāranay sthāpan karavāyogya chhe; tem ja brāhmaṇe mlechchha na thavun — e vachanathī te (vyavahāranay) anusaravā yogya nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ — loko shuddhanayane jāṇatā nathī kāraṇ ke shuddhanayano viṣhay abhed ekarūp vastu chhe; teo ashuddhanayane ja jāṇe chhe kem ke teno viṣhay bhedarūp anekaprakār chhe; tethī teo vyavahār dvārā ja paramārthane samajī shake chhe. ā kāraṇe vyavahāranayane paramārthano kahenār jāṇī teno upadesh karavāmān āve chhe. ahīn em na samajavun ke vyavahāranun ālamban karāve chhe paṇ ahīn to vyavahāranun ālamban chhoḍāvī paramārthe pahoñchāḍe chhe em samajavun.

bhāvārthaḥ — je shrutathī abhedarūp gnāyakamātra shuddha ātmāne jāṇe chhe te shrutakevaḷī chhe e to paramārtha (nishchay kathan) chhe. vaḷī je sarva shrutagnānane jāṇe chhe teṇe paṇ gnānane jāṇavāthī ātmāne ja jāṇyo kāraṇ ke gnān chhe te ātmā ja chhe; tethī gnān-gnānīno bhed kahenāro je vyavahār teṇe paṇ paramārtha ja kahyo. anya kāī na kahyun. vaḷī paramārthano viṣhay to kathañchit vachanagochar paṇ nathī tethī vyavahāranay ja ātmāne pragaṭapaṇe kahe chhe em jāṇavun.

ṭīkāḥ — vyavahāranay badhoy abhūtārtha hovāthī avidyamān, asatya, abhūt arthane pragaṭ kare chhe; shuddhanay ek ja bhūtārtha hovāthī vidyamān, satya, bhūt arthane pragaṭ kare chhe. ā vāt draṣhṭāntathī batāvīe chhīeḥ — jem prabaḷ kādavanā maḷavāthī jeno sahaj ek nirmaḷabhāv tirobhūt (āchchhādit) thaī gayo chhe evā jaḷano anubhav karanār puruṣho — jaḷ ane kādavano vivek nahi karanārā ghaṇā to, tene (jaḷane) malin ja anubhave chhe; paṇ keṭalāk potānā hāthathī nākhelā katakaphaḷ(nirmaḷī auṣhadhi)nā paḍavāmātrathī ūpajelā jaḷ-kādavanā vivekapaṇāthī, potānā puruṣhārtha dvārā āvirbhūt karavāmān āvelā sahaj ek nirmaḷabhāvapaṇāne līdhe, tene (jaḷane) nirmaḷ ja anubhave chhe; evī rīte prabaḷ karmanā maḷavāthī jeno sahaj ek gnāyakabhāv tirobhūt thaī gayo chhe evā ātmāno anubhav karanār puruṣho — ātmā ane karmano vivek nahi karanārā, vyavahārathī vimohit hr̥udayavāḷāo to, tene (ātmāne) jemān bhāvonun vishvarūpapaṇun (anekarūpapaṇun) pragaṭ chhe evo anubhave chhe; paṇ bhūtārthadarshīo (shuddhanayane dekhanārāo) potānī buddhithī nākhelā shuddhanay anusār bodh thavāmātrathī ūpajelā ātma-karmanā vivekapaṇāthī, potānā puruṣhārtha dvārā

सहजैकज्ञायकभावत्वात् प्रद्योतमानैकज्ञायकभावं तमनुभवन्ति । तदत्र ये भूतार्थमाश्रयन्ति त एव सम्यक् पश्यन्तः सम्यग्दृष्टयो भवन्ति, न पुनरन्ये, कतकस्थानीयत्वात् शुद्धनयस्य । अतः प्रत्यगात्मदर्शिभिर्व्यवहारनयो नानुसर्तव्यः ।
अथ च केषाञ्चित्कदाचित्सोऽपि प्रयोजनवान् । यतः — āvirbhūt karavāmān āvelā sahaj ek gnāyakabhāvapaṇāne līdhe tene (ātmāne) jemān ek gnāyakabhāv prakāshamān chhe evo anubhave chhe. ahīn, shuddhanay katakaphaḷanā sthāne chhe tethī jeo shuddhanayano āshray kare chhe teo ja samyak avalokan karatā (hovāthī) samyagdraṣhṭi chhe paṇ bījā (jeo ashuddhanayano sarvathā āshray kare chhe teo) samyagdraṣhṭi nathī. māṭe karmathī bhinna ātmānā dekhanārāoe vyavahāranay anusaravā yogya nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ — ahīn vyavahāranayane abhūtārtha ane shuddhanayane bhūtārtha kahyo chhe. jeno viṣhay vidyamān na hoy, asatyārtha hoy, tene abhūtārtha kahe chhe. vyavahāranayane abhūtārtha kahevāno āshay evo chhe ke — shuddhanayano viṣhay abhed ekākārarūp nitya dravya chhe, tenī draṣhṭimān bhed dekhāto nathī; māṭe tenī draṣhṭimān bhed avidyamān, asatyārtha ja kahevo joīe. em na samajavun ke bhedarūp kāī vastu ja nathī. jo em mānavāmān āve to to jem vedāntamatavāḷāo bhedarūp anityane dekhī avastu māyāsvarūp kahe chhe ane sarvavyāpak ek abhed nitya shuddhabrahmane vastu kahe chhe evun ṭhare ane tethī sarvathā ekānt shuddhanayanā pakṣharūp mithyādraṣhṭino ja prasaṅg āve. māṭe ahīn em samajavun ke jinavāṇī syādvādarūp chhe, prayojanavash nayane mukhya-gauṇ karīne kahe chhe. prāṇīone bhedarūp vyavahārano pakṣha to anādi kāḷathī ja chhe ane eno upadesh paṇ bahudhā sarva prāṇīo paraspar kare chhe. vaḷī jinavāṇīmān vyavahārano upadesh shuddhanayano hastāvalamb (sahāyak) jāṇī bahu karyo chhe; paṇ enun phaḷ sansār ja chhe. shuddhanayano pakṣha to kadī āvyo nathī ane eno upadesh paṇ viral chhe — kyāṅk kyāṅk chhe. tethī upakārī shrī gurue shuddhanayanā grahaṇanun phaḷ mokṣha jāṇīne eno upadesh pradhānatāthī (mukhyatāthī) dīdho chhe ke — ‘‘shuddhanay bhūtārtha chhe, satyārtha chhe; eno āshray karavāthī samyagdraṣhṭi thaī shakāy chhe; ene jāṇyā vinā jyān sudhī jīv vyavahāramān magna chhe tyān sudhī ātmānān gnānashraddhānarūp nishchay samyaktva thaī shakatun nathī.’’ em āshay jāṇavo.

gāthārthaḥ — [परमभावदर्शिभिः] paramabhāvanā dekhanārāone to [शुद्धादेशः] shuddha (ātmā)no upadesh karanār [शुद्धः] shuddhanay [ज्ञातव्यः] jāṇavāyogya chhe; [पुनः] vaḷī [ये तु] je jīvo [अपरमे भावे] aparamabhāve [स्थिताः] sthit chhe teo [व्यवहारदेशिताः] vyavahār dvārā upadesh karavāyogya chhe.
ṭīkāḥ — je puruṣho chhellā pākathī ūtarelā shuddha suvarṇa samān (vastunā) utkr̥uṣhṭa bhāvane anubhave chhe temane pratham, dvitīy ādi anek pākonī paramparāthī pachyamān (pakāvavāmān āvatā) ashuddha suvarṇa samān je anutkr̥uṣhṭa (madhyam) bhāv teno anubhav nathī hoto; tethī, shuddhadravyane kahenār hovāthī jeṇe achalit akhaṇḍ ekasvabhāvarūp ek bhāv pragaṭ karyo chhe evo shuddhanay ja, sauthī uparanī ek prativarṇikā (suvarṇanā varṇa) samān hovāthī, jāṇelo prayojanavān chhe. parantu je puruṣho pratham, dvitīy ādi anek pākonī paramparāthī pachyamān ashuddha suvarṇa samān je (vastuno) anutkr̥uṣhṭa (madhyam) bhāv tene anubhave chhe temane chhellā pākathī ūtarelā shuddha suvarṇa samān utkr̥uṣhṭa bhāvano anubhav nathī hoto; tethī, ashuddha dravyane kahenār hovāthī jeṇe judā judā ek ek bhāvasvarūp anek bhāvo dekhāḍyā chhe evo vyavahāranay, vichitra (anek) varṇamāḷā samān hovāthī, jāṇelo te kāḷe prayojanavān chhe.

e rīte potapotānā samayamān banne nayo kāryakārī chhe kāraṇ ke tīrtha ane tīrthanā phaḷanī evī ja vyavasthiti chhe. (jenāthī tarāy te tīrtha chhe; evo vyavahāradharma chhe. pār thavun te vyavahāradharmanun phaḷ chhe; athavā potānā svarūpane pāmavun te tīrthaphaḷ chhe.) bījī jagyāe paṇ kahyun chhe keḥ —
[ arthaḥ — āchārya kahe chhe ke he bhavya jīvo ! jo tame jinamatane pravartāvavā chāhatā ho to vyavahār ane nishchay — e banne nayone na chhoḍo; kāraṇ ke vyavahāranay vinā to tīrtha – vyavahāramārgano nāsh thaī jashe ane nishchayanay vinā tattva(vastu)no nāsh thaī jashe.]
bhāvārthaḥ — lokamān sonānā soḷ vāl prasiddha chhe. pandar-valā sudhī temān chūrī ādi parasanyoganī kālimā rahe chhe tethī ashuddha kahevāy chhe; ane tāp detān detān chhellā tāpathī ūtare tyāre soḷ-valun shuddha suvarṇa kahevāy chhe. je jīvone soḷ-valā sonānun gnān, shraddhān tathā prāpti thaī temane pandar-valā sudhīnun kāī prayojanavān nathī ane jemane soḷ-valā shuddha sonānī prāpti nathī thaī temane tyān sudhī pandar-valā sudhīnun paṇ prayojanavān chhe. evī rīte ā jīv nāmano padārtha chhe te pudgalanā sanyogathī ashuddha anekarūp thaī rahyo chhe. tenā, sarva paradravyothī bhinna, ek gnāyakapaṇāmātranun gnān, shraddhān tathā ācharaṇarūp prāpti — e traṇe jemane thaī gayā temane to pudgalasanyogajanit anekarūpapaṇāne kahenāro ashuddhanay kāī prayojanavān (koī matalabano) nathī; paṇ jyān sudhī shuddha bhāvanī prāpti nathī thaī tyān sudhī jeṭalun ashuddhanayanun kathan chhe teṭalun yathāpadavī prayojanavāḷun chhe. jyān sudhī yathārtha gnān-shraddhānanī prāptirūp samyagdarshananī prāpti na thaī hoy tyān sudhī to jemanāthī yathārtha upadesh maḷe chhe evān jinavachanonun sāmbhaḷavun, dhāraṇ karavun tathā jinavachanone kahenārā shrī jin-gurunī bhakti, jinabimbanān darshan ityādi vyavahāramārgamān pravr̥utta thavun prayojanavān chhe; ane jemane shraddhān- gnān to thayān chhe paṇ sākṣhāt prāpti nathī thaī temane pūrvakathit kārya, paradravyanun ālamban

रनवमनयपक्षाक्षुण्णमीक्षन्त एव ।।४।।
chhoḍavārūp aṇuvrat-mahāvratanun grahaṇ, samiti, gupti, pañch parameṣhṭhīnā dhyānarūp pravartan, e pramāṇe pravartanārāonī saṅgati karavī ane visheṣh jāṇavā māṭe shāstrono abhyās karavo ityādi vyavahāramārgamān pote pravartavun ane bījāne pravartāvavun — evo vyavahāranayano upadesh aṅgīkār karavo prayojanavān chhe.✽ vyavahāranayane kathañchit asatyārtha kahevāmān āvyo chhe; paṇ jo koī tene sarva asatyārtha jāṇī chhoḍī de to shubhopayogarūp vyavahār chhoḍe ane shuddhopayoganī sākṣhāt prāpti to thaī nathī, tethī ūlaṭo ashubhopayogamān ja āvī, bhraṣhṭa thaī, game tem svechchhārūp pravarte to narakādi gati tathā paramparā nigodane prāpta thaī sansāramān ja bhramaṇ kare. māṭe shuddhanayano viṣhay je sākṣhāt shuddha ātmā tenī prāpti jyān sudhī na thāy tyān sudhī vyavahār paṇ prayojanavān chhe — evo syādvādamatamān shrī guruono upadesh chhe.
e arthanun kalasharūp kāvya ṭīkākār kahe chheḥ —
shlokārthaḥ — [उभय-नय-विरोध-ध्वंसिनि] nishchay ane vyavahār — e be nayone viṣhayanā bhedathī paraspar virodh chhe; e virodhane nāsh karanārun [स्यात्-पद-अङ्के] ‘syāt’padathī chihnit [जिनवचसि] je jin bhagavānanun vachan (vāṇī) temān [ये रमन्ते] je puruṣho rame chhe (-prachur prīti sahit abhyās kare chhe) [ते] te puruṣho [स्वयं] potānī meḷe (anya kāraṇ vinā) [वान्तमोहाः] mithyātvakarmanā udayanun vaman karīne [उच्चैः परं ज्योतिः समयसारं] ā atishayarūp paramajyoti prakāshamān shuddha ātmāne [सपदि] turat [ईक्षन्ते एव] dekhe ja chhe. kevo chhe samayasārarūp shuddha ātmā? [अनवम्] navīn utpanna thayo nathī, pahelān karmathī āchchhādit hato te pragaṭ vyaktirūp thaī gayo chhe. vaḷī kevo chhe? [अनय-पक्ष-अक्षुण्णम्] sarvathā ekāntarūp kunayanā pakṣhathī khaṇḍit thato nathī, nirbādh chhe. ✽vyavahāranayanā upadeshathī em na samajavun ke ātmā paradravyanī kriyā karī shake chhe, paṇ em samajavun ke vyavahāropadiṣhṭa shubh bhāvone ātmā vyavahāre karī shake chhe. vaḷī te upadeshathī em paṇ na samajavun ke ātmā shubh bhāvo karavāthī shuddhatāne pāme chhe, parantu em samajavun ke sādhak dashāmān bhūmikā anusār shubh bhāvo āvyā vinā rahetā nathī.

मिह निहितपदानां हन्त हस्तावलम्बः ।
परविरहितमन्तः पश्यतां नैष किञ्चित् ।।५।।
bhāvārthaḥ — jinavachan (vāṇī) syādvādarūp chhe. jyān be nayone viṣhayano virodh chhe — jem keḥ je sat-rūp hoy te asat-rūp na hoy, ek hoy te anek na hoy, nitya hoy te anitya na hoy, bhedarūp hoy te abhedarūp na hoy, shuddha hoy te ashuddha na hoy ityādi nayonā viṣhayomān virodh chhe — tyān jinavachan kathañchit vivakṣhāthī sat-asatrūp, ek- anekarūp, nitya-anityarūp, bhed-abhedarūp, shuddha-ashuddharūp je rīte vidyamān vastu chhe te rīte kahīne virodh maṭāḍī de chhe, jūṭhī kalpanā karatun nathī. te jinavachan dravyārthik ane paryāyārthik — e be nayomān, prayojanavash shuddhadravyārthik nayane mukhya karīne tene nishchay kahe chhe ane ashuddhadravyārthikarūp paryāyārthikanayane gauṇ karī tene vyavahār kahe chhe. — āvā jinavachanamān je puruṣh ramaṇ kare chhe te ā shuddha ātmāne yathārtha pāme chhe; anya sarvathā-ekāntī sāṅkhyādik e ātmāne pāmatā nathī, kāraṇ ke vastu sarvathā ekānt pakṣhano viṣhay nathī topaṇ teo ek ja dharmane grahaṇ karī vastunī asatya kalpanā kare chhe — je asatyārtha chhe, bādhā sahit mithyā draṣhṭi chhe. 4.
ā rīte bār gāthāomān pīṭhikā (bhūmikā) chhe. have āchārya shuddhanayane pradhān karī nishchay samyaktvanun svarūp kahe chhe. ashuddhanayanī (vyavahāranayanī) pradhānatāmān jīvādi tattvonā shraddhānane samyaktva kahyun chhe to ahīn e jīvādi tattvone shuddhanay vaḍe jāṇavāthī samyaktva thāy chhe em kahe chhe. tyān ṭīkākār enī sūchanārūpe traṇ shlok kahe chhe; temān pahelā shlokamān em kahe chhe ke vyavahāranayane kathañchit prayojanavān kahyo topaṇ te kāī vastubhūt nathīḥ —
shlokārthaḥ — [व्यवहरण-नयः] je vyavahāranay chhe te [यद्यपि] joke [इह प्राक्-पदव्यां] ā pahelī padavīmān (jyān sudhī shuddha svarūpanī prāpti na thaī hoy tyān sudhī) [निहित-पदानां] jemaṇe potāno pag māṇḍelo chhe evā puruṣhone, [हन्त] arere! [हस्तावलम्बः स्यात्] hastāvalamb tulya kahyo chhe, [तद्-अपि] topaṇ [चित्-चमत्कार-मात्रं पर-विरहितं परमं अर्थं अन्तः पश्यतां] je puruṣho chaitanya-chamatkār-mātra, paradravyabhāvothī rahit (shuddhanayanā viṣhayabhūt) param ‘artha’ne

पूर्णज्ञानघनस्य दर्शनमिह द्रव्यान्तरेभ्यः पृथक् ।
तन्मुक्त्वा नवतत्त्वसन्ततिमिमामात्मायमेकोऽस्तु नः ।।६।।
antaraṅgamān avaloke chhe, tenī shraddhā kare chhe tathā tadrūp līn thaī chāritrabhāvane prāpta thāy chhe temane [एषः] e vyavahāranay [किञ्चित् न] kāī paṇ prayojanavān nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ — shuddha svarūpanun gnān, shraddhān tathā ācharaṇ thayā bād ashuddhanay kāī paṇ prayojanakārī nathī. 5.
have pachhīnā shlokamān nishchay samyaktvanun svarūp kahe chheḥ —
shlokārthaḥ — [अस्य आत्मनः] ā ātmāne [यद् इह द्रव्यान्तरेभ्यः पृथक् दर्शनम्] anya dravyothī judo dekhavo (shraddhavo) [एतत् एव नियमात् सम्यग्दर्शनम्] te ja niyamathī samyagdarshan chhe. kevo chhe ātmā? [व्याप्तुः] potānā guṇ-paryāyomān vyāpanāro chhe. vaḷī kevo chhe? [शुद्धनयतः एकत्वे नियतस्य] shuddhanayathī ekapaṇāmān nishchit karavāmān āvyo chhe. vaḷī kevo chhe? [पूर्ण-ज्ञान-घनस्य] pūrṇagnānaghan chhe. [च] vaḷī [तावान् अयं आत्मा] jeṭalun samyagdarshan chhe teṭalo ja ā ātmā chhe. [तत्] tethī āchārya prārthanā kare chhe ke ‘‘[इमाम् नव-तत्त्व-सन्ततिं मुक्त्वा] ā navatattvanī paripāṭīne chhoḍī, [अयम् आत्मा एकः अस्तु नः] ā ātmā ek ja amane prāpta ho.’’
bhāvārthaḥ — sarva svābhāvik tathā naimittik potānī avasthārūp guṇaparyāyabhedomān vyāpanāro ā ātmā shuddhanayathī ekapaṇāmān nishchit karavāmān āvyo — shuddhanayathī gnāyakamātra ek-ākār dekhāḍavāmān āvyo, tene sarva anyadravyo ane anyadravyonā bhāvothī nyāro dekhavo, shraddhavo te niyamathī samyagdarshan chhe. vyavahāranay ātmāne anek bhedarūp kahī samyagdarshanane anek bhedarūp kahe chhe tyān vyabhichār (doṣh) āve chhe, niyam raheto nathī. shuddhanayanī hade pahoñchatān vyabhichār raheto nathī tethī niyamarūp chhe. kevo chhe shuddhanayano viṣhayabhūt ātmā? pūrṇagnānaghan chhe — sarva lokālokane jāṇanār gnānasvarūp chhe. evā ātmānā shraddhānarūp samyagdarshan chhe. te kāī judo padārtha nathī — ātmānā ja pariṇām chhe, tethī ātmā ja chhe. māṭe samyagdarshan chhe te ātmā chhe, anya nathī.
