तत्त्वतः कुत्सितशीलां विज्ञाय तया सह रागसंसर्गौ प्रतिषेधयति ।
यः खलु रक्तोऽवश्यमेव कर्म बध्नीयात् विरक्त एव मुच्येतेत्ययमागमः स सामान्येन
रक्तत्वनिमित्तत्वाच्छुभमशुभमुभयं कर्माविशेषेण बन्धहेतुं साधयति, तदुभयमपि कर्म प्रतिषेधयति च ।
paramārthe būrī jāṇīne tenī sāthe rāg tathā sansarga karato nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ — hāthīne pakaḍavā hāthaṇī rākhavāmān āve chhe; hāthī kāmāndh thayo thako te hāthaṇīrūpī kūṭaṇī sāthe rāg tathā sansarga kare chhe tethī pakaḍāī jaīne parādhīn thaīne duḥkh bhogave chhe, ane jo chatur hāthī hoy to tenī sāthe rāg tathā sansarga karato nathī; tevī rīte agnānī jīv karmaprakr̥itine sārī samajīne tenī sāthe rāg tathā sansarga kare chhe tethī bandhamān paḍī parādhīn thaīne sansāranān duḥkh bhogave chhe, ane jo gnānī hoy to tenī sāthe rāg tathā sansarga kadī karato nathī.
have, banne karmo bandhanān kāraṇ chhe ane niṣhedhavāyogya chhe em āgamathī siddha kare chheḥ —
gāthārthaḥ — [ रक्तः जीवः ] rāgī jīv [ कर्म ] karma [ बध्नाति ] bāndhe chhe ane [ विरागसम्प्राप्तः ] vairāgyane pāmelo jīv [ मुच्यते ] karmathī chhūṭe chhe — [ एषः ] ā [ जिनोपदेशः ] jinabhagavānano upadesh chhe; [ तस्मात् ] māṭe (he bhavya jīv!) tun [ कर्मसु ] karmomān [ मा रज्यस्व ] prīti – rāg na kar.
ṭīkāḥ — ‘‘rakta arthāt rāgī avashya karma bāndhe ane virakta arthāt virāgī ja karmathī chhūṭe’’ evun je ā āgamavachan chhe te, sāmānyapaṇe rāgīpaṇānā nimittapaṇāne līdhe shubh ane ashubh banne karmane avisheṣhapaṇe bandhanān kāraṇ tarīke siddha kare chhe ane
