एवमयमज्ञानात् यो यथा हिंसायां विधीयतेऽध्यवसायः, तथा असत्यादत्ताब्रह्म- परिग्रहेषु यश्च विधीयते स सर्वोऽपि केवल एव पापबन्धहेतुः । यस्तु अहिंसायां यथा विधीयते अध्यवसायः, तथा यश्च सत्यदत्तब्रह्मापरिग्रहेषु विधीयते स सर्वोऽपि केवल एव पुण्यबन्धहेतुः ।
gāthārthaḥ — [एवम्] e rīte (arthāt pūrve hinsānā adhyavasāy viṣhe kahyun tem) [अलीके] asatyamān, [अदत्ते] adattamān, [अब्रह्मचर्ये] abrahmacharyamān [च एव] ane [परिग्रहे] parigrahamān [यत्] je [अध्यवसानं] adhyavasān [क्रियते] karavāmān āve [तेन तु] tenāthī [पापं बध्यते] pāpano bandh thāy chhe; [तथापि च] ane tevī ja rīte [सत्ये] satyamān, [दत्ते] dattamān, [ब्रह्मणि] brahmacharyamān [च एव] ane [अपरिग्रहत्वे] aparigrahamān [यत्] je [अध्यवसानं] adhyavasān [क्रियते] karavāmān āve [तेन तु] tenāthī [पुण्यं बध्यते] puṇyano bandh thāy chhe.
ṭīkāḥ — e rīte ( – pūrvokta rīte) agnānathī ā je hinsāmān adhyavasāy karavāmān āve chhe tem asatya, adatta, abrahmacharya ane parigrahamān paṇ je (adhyavasāy) karavāmān āve, te badhoy pāpanā bandhanun ekamātra ( – ekanun ek) kāraṇ chhe; ane je ahinsāmān adhyavasāy karavāmān āve chhe tem je satya, datta, brahmacharya ane aparigrahamān paṇ (adhyavasāy) karavāmān āve, te badhoy puṇyanā bandhanun ekamātra kāraṇ chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — jem hinsāmān adhyavasāy te pāpabandhanun kāraṇ kahyun chhe tem asatya, adatta ( – vagar dīdhelun levun te, chorī), abrahmacharya ane parigrah — temanāmān adhyavasāy te paṇ pāpabandhanun kāraṇ chhe. vaḷī jem ahinsāmān adhyavasāy te puṇyabandhanun kāraṇ chhe tem satya, datta ( – dīdhelun levun te), brahmacharya ane aparigrah — temanāmān adhyavasāy te paṇ puṇyabandhanun kāraṇ chhe. ā rīte, pāñch pāpomān (avratomān) adhyavasāy karavāmān āve te pāpabandhanun kāraṇ chhe ane pāñch (ekadesh ke sarvadesh) vratomān adhyavasāy karavāmān āve te puṇyabandhanun kāraṇ chhe. pāp ane puṇya bannenā bandhanamān, adhyavasāy ja ekamātra bandh-kāraṇ chhe.
