parajīvānahan hinasmi, na hinasmi, duḥkhayāmi, sukhayāmi iti ya evāyamagnānamayo- ‘dhyavasāyo mithyādraṣhṭeḥ, sa ev svayam rāgādirūpatvāttasya shubhāshubhabandhahetuḥ .
athādhyavasāyan bandhahetutvenāvadhārayati — dr̥ushyate ] jo yah agnānasvarūp 1adhyavasāy dikhāī detā hai [saḥ ev] vah adhyavasāy hī, [viparyayāt ] viparyayasvarūp ( – mithyā) honese, [asya bandhahetuḥ ] us mithyādr̥uṣhṭike bandhakā kāraṇ hai .
bhāvārtha : — mithyā abhiprāy hī mithyātva hai aur vahī bandhakā kāraṇ hai — aisā jānanā chāhie .170.
gāthārtha : — [te ] terī [yā eṣhā matiḥ tu ] yah jo buddhi hai ki main [sattvān ] jīvoṅko [duḥkhitasukhitān ] duḥkhī-sukhī [karomi iti ] karatā hūn̐n, [eṣhā te mūḍhamatiḥ ] yahī terī mūḍhabuddhi hī (mohasvarūp buddhi hī) [shubhāshubhan karma ] shubhāshubh ka rmako [badhnāti ] bān̐dhatī hai .

bhāvārtha : — yah agnānamay adhyavasāy hī bandhakā kāraṇ hai . usamen, ‘main jilātā hūn̐, sukhī karatā hūn̐’ aise shubh ahaṅkārase bharā huā vah shubh adhyavasāy hai aur ‘main māratā hūn̐, duḥkhī karatā hūn̐’ aise ashubh ahaṅkārase bharā huā vah ashubh adhyavasāy hai . ahaṅkārarūp mithyābhāv donommen hai; isaliye agnānamayatāse donon adhyavasāy ek hī hain . ataḥ yah na mānanā chāhiye ki puṇyakā kāraṇ dūsarā hai aur pāpakā kāraṇ koī anya . agnānamay adhyavasāy hī donoṅkā kāraṇ hai .260-261.
‘isaprakār vāstavamen hinsākā adhyavasāy hī hinsā hai yah phalit huā’ — yah kahate hain : —
gāthārtha : — [sattvān ] jīvoṅko [mārayatu ] māro [vā mā mārayatu ] athavā na māro — [bandhaḥ ] ka rmabandha [adhyavasiten ] adhyavasānase hī hotā hai . [eṣhaḥ ] yah, [nishchayanayasya ] nishchayanayase, [jīvānān ] jīvoṅke [bandhasamāsaḥ ] bandhakā saṅkṣhep hai .

bhāvārtha : — nishchayanayase dūsareke prāṇoṅkā viyog dūsarese nahīn kiyā jā sakatā; vah usake apane karmoṅke udayakī vichitratāke kāraṇ kadāchit hotā hai aur kadāchit nahīn hotā . isaliye jo yah mānatā hai — ahaṅkār karatā hai ki — ‘main parajīvako māratā hūn̐’, usakā yah ahaṅkārarūp adhyavasāy agnānamay hai . vah adhyavasāy hī hinsā hai — apane vishuddha chaitanyaprāṇakā ghāt hai, aur vahī bandhakā kāraṇ hai . yah nishchayanayakā mat hai .
yahān̐ vyavahāranayako gauṇ karake kahā hai aisā jānanā chāhie . isaliye vah kathan kathañchit (apekṣhāpūrvak) hai aisā samajhanā chāhie; sarvathā ekāntapakṣha mithyātva hai ..262..

(jahān̐ ban̐dhyākā putra hī nahīn hotā vahān̐ māranekā adhyavasāy kahān̐se utpanna hogā ?) isaliye yah niyam hai ki (bāhyavasturūp) āshrayake binā adhyavasān nahīn hotā . aur isīliye adhyavasānako āshrayabhūt bāhyavastukā atyanta niṣhedh kiyā hai, kyoṅki kāraṇake pratiṣhedhase hī kāryakā pratiṣhedh hotā hai . (bāhyavastu adhyavasānakā kāraṇ hai, isaliye usake pratiṣhedhase adhyavasānakā pratiṣhedh hotā hai) . parantu, yadyapi bāhyavastu bandhake kāraṇakā (arthāt adhyavasānakā) kāraṇ hai tathāpi vah (bāhyavastu) bandhakā kāraṇ nahīn hai; kyoṅki īryāsamitimen pariṇamit munīndrake charaṇase mar jānevāle – aise kisī vegase āpatit kālaprerit uṛate hue jīvakī bhān̐ti, bāhyavastu – jo ki bandhake kāraṇakā kāraṇ hai vah — bandhakā kāraṇ na honese, bāhyavastuko bandhakā kāraṇatva mānanemen anaikāntik hetvābhāsatva hai — vyabhichār ātā hai . (isaprakār nishchayase bāhyavastuko bandhakā kāraṇatva nirbādhatayā siddha nahīn hotā .) isaliye bāhyavastu jo ki jīvako atadbhāvarūp hai vah bandhakā kāraṇ nahīn hai; kintu adhyavasān jo ki jīvako tadbhāvarūp hai vahīn bandhakā kāraṇ hai .
bhāvārtha : — bandhakā kāraṇ nishchayase adhyavasān hī hai; aur bāhyavastuen̐ hain ve adhyavasānakā ālamban hain — unako avalambakar adhyavasān utpanna hotā hai, isaliye unhen adhyavasānakā kāraṇ kahā jātā hai . bāhyavastuke binā nirāshrayatayā adhyavasān utpanna nahīn hote, isaliye bāhyavastuoṅkā tyāg karāyā jātā hai . yadi bāhyavastuoṅko bandhakā kāraṇ kahā jāye to usamen vyabhichār (doṣh) ātā hai . isaprakār bandhake kāraṇarūpase nishchit kiyā gayā adhyavasān apanī arthakriyā karanevālā na honese mithyā hai — yah ab batalāte hain : —
karatā dukhī-sukhi jīvako, aru baddha-mukta karūn̐ are ! yah mūḍh mati tujh hai nirarthak, is hi se mithyā hi hai ..266..

yatkil bandhayāmi mochayāmītyadhyavasānan tasya hi svārthakriyā yadbandhanan mochanan jīvānām . jīvastvasyādhyavasāyasya sadbhāve‘pi sarāgavītarāgayoḥ svapariṇāmayoḥ abhāvānna badhyate, arthakriyā karanevālā nahīn hai isalie, ‘main ākāsh-puṣhpako toṛatā hūn̐’ aise adhyavasānakī bhān̐ti mithyārūp hai, mātra apane anarthake liye hī hai (arthāt mātra apane liye hī hānikā kāraṇ hotā hai, parakā to kuchh kar nahīn sakatā ) .
bhāvārtha : — jo apanī arthakriyā ( – prayojanabhūt kriyā) nahīn kar sakatā vah nirarthak hai, athavā jisakā viṣhay nahīn hai vah nirarthak hai . jīv parajīvoṅko duḥkhī-sukhī ādi karanekī buddhi karatā hai, parantu parajīv apane kiye duḥkhī-sukhī nahīn hote; isalie vah buddhi nirarthak hai aur nirarthak honese mithyā hai — jhūn̐ṭhī hai ..266..
ab yah prashna hotā hai ki adhyavasān apanī arthakriyā karanevālā kaise nahīn hai ? isakā uttar kahate hain : —
gāthārtha : — he bhāī ! [yadi hi ] yadi vāstavamen [adhyavasānanimittan ] adhyavasānake nimittase [jīvāḥ ] jīv [karmaṇā badhyante ] ka rmase bandhate hain [cha ] aur [mokṣhamārge sthitāḥ ] mokṣhamārgamen sthit [muchyante ] chhūṭate hain, [tad ] to [tvam kin karoṣhi ] tū kyā karatā hai ? (terā to bān̐dhane-chhoṛanekā abhiprāy vyartha gayā .)

bhāvārtha : — jo hetu kuchh bhī nahīn karatā vah akiñchitkar kahalātā hai . yah bān̐dhane- chhoṛanekā adhyavasān bhī paramen kuchh nahīn karatā; kyoṅki yadi vah adhyavasān na ho to bhī jīv apane sarāg-vītarāg pariṇāmase bandha-mokṣhako prāpta hotā hai, aur vah adhyavasān ho to bhī apane sarāg-vītarāg pariṇāmake abhāvase bandha-mokṣhako prāpta nahīn hotā . isaprakār adhyavasān paramen akiñchitkar honese sva-arthakriyā karanevālā nahīn hai aur isaliye mithyā hai ..267..
shlokārtha : — [anen niṣhphalen adhyavasāyen mohitaḥ ] is niṣhphal (nirarthak) adhyavasāyase mohit hotā huā [ātmā ] ātmā [tat kiñchan api na ev asti yat ātmānan na karoti ] apaneko sarvarūp ka ratā hai, — aisā kuchh bhī nahīn hai jisarūp apaneko na karatā ho .
bhāvārtha : — yah ātmā mithyā abhiprāyase bhūlā huā chaturgati-sansāramen jitanī avasthāen̐ hain, jitane padārtha hain un sarvarūp apaneko huā mānatā hai; apane shuddha svarūpako nahīn pahichānatā .171.

‘‘yahān̐ bārambār adhyavasān shabda kahā gayā hai, vah adhyavasān kyā hai ? usakā svarūp bhalībhān̐ti samajhamen nahīn āyā’’ . aisā prashna hone par, ab adhyavasānakā svarūp gāthā dvārā kahate hain .
gāthārtha : — [buddhiḥ ] buddhi, [vyavasāyaḥ api cha ] vyavasāy, [adhyavasānan ] adhyavasān, [matiḥ cha ] mati, [vignānam ] vignān, [chittan ] chitta, [bhāvaḥ ] bhāv [cha ] aur [pariṇāmaḥ ] pariṇām — [sarvan ] ye sab [ekārtham ev ] ekārtha hī hain (arthāt nām alag alag hain, kintu artha bhinna nahīn hain ) .

‘adhyavasān tyāgane yogya kahe hain isase aisā gnāt hotā hai ki vyavahārakā tyāg aur nishchayakā grahaṇ karāyā hai’ — is arthakā, evan āgāmī kathanakā sūchak kāvya kahate hain : —

bhāvārtha : — jinendradevane anya padārthommen ātmabuddhirūp adhyavasān chhuṛāye hain, isase yah samajhanā chāhie ki yah samasta parāshrit vyavahār hī chhuṛāyā hai . isaliye āchāryadevane shuddhanishchayake grahaṇakā aisā upadesh diyā hai ki — ‘shuddhagnānasvarūp apane ātmāmen sthiratā rakho’ . aur, ‘‘jab ki bhagavānane adhyavasān chhuṛāye hain tab phi ra satpuruṣh nishchayako nishchalatāpūrvak aṅgīkār karake svarūpamen sthir kyon nahīn hote ? — yah hamen āshcharya hotā hai’’ yah kahakar āchāryadevane āshcharya pragaṭ kiyā hai .173.
gāthārtha : — [evan ] isaprakār [vyavahāranayaḥ ] (parāshrit) vyavahāranay [nishchayanayen ] nishchayanayake dvārā [pratiṣhiddhaḥ jānīhi ] niṣhiddha jān; [punaḥ nishchayanayāshritāḥ ] nishchayanayake āshrit [munayaḥ ] munie [nirvāṇam ] nirvāṇako [prāpnuvanti ] prāpta hote hain .

bhāvārtha : — abhavya jīv mahāvrat-samiti-guptirūp vyavahār chāritrakā pālan kare tathāpi nishchay samyaggnānashraddhānake binā vah chāritra ‘samyak chāritra’ nāmako prāpta nahīn hotā; isaliye vah agnānī, mithyādr̥uṣhṭi aur nishchāritra hī hai ..273..
ab shiṣhya pūchhatā hai ki — use (abhavyako) gyārah aṅgakā gnān to hotā hai; phi ra bhī usako agnānī kyon kahā hai ? isakā uttar kahate hain : —
gāthārtha : — [mokṣham ashraddadhānaḥ ] mokṣhakī shraddhā na karatā huā [yaḥ abhavyasattvaḥ ] jo abhavya jīv hai vah [tu adhīyīt ] shāstra to parḥatā hai, [tu ] parantu [gnānan ashraddadhānasya ] gnānakī shraddhā na karanevāle usakoe [pāṭhaḥ ] shāstrapaṭhan [guṇam na karoti ] guṇ nahīn karatā .

gnānakī shraddhā na karanevāle abhavyake shāstrapaṭhanake dvārā nahīn kiyā jā sakatā (arthāt shāstrapaṭhan
usako shuddhātmagnān nahīn kar sakatā); isaliye usake shāstrapaṭhanake guṇakā abhāv hai; aur
isaliye gnān-shraddhānake abhāvake kāraṇ vah agnānī siddha huā .
