darśanajñānacāritravattvenāsyāśuddhatvamiti cet
vavahāreṇuvadissadi ṇāṇissa caritta daṁsaṇaṁ ṇāṇaṁ .
ṇa vi ṇāṇaṁ ṇa carittaṁ ṇa daṁsaṇaṁ jāṇago suddho ..7..
vyavahāreṇopadiśyate jñāninaścaritraṁ darśanaṁ jñānam .
nāpi jñānaṁ na caritraṁ na darśanaṁ jñāyakaḥ śuddhaḥ ..7..

sarvathā asatyārtha na mānā jāye; kyoṁki syādvādapramāṇase śuddhatā aur aśuddhatādonoṁ vastuke dharma haiṁ aur vastudharma vastukā sattva hai; antar mātra itanā hī hai ki aśuddhatā paradravyake saṁyogase hotī hai . aśuddhanayako yahān̐ hey kahā hai, kyoṁki aśuddhanayakā viṣay saṁsār hai aur saṁsārameṁ ātmā kleś bhogatā hai; jab svayaṁ paradravyase bhinna hotā hai tab saṁsār chūṭatā hai aur kleś dūr hotā hai . isaprakār duḥkh miṭāneke liye śuddhanayakā upadeś pradhān hai . aśuddhanayako asatyārtha kahanese yah na samajhanā cāhie ki ākāśake phū lakī bhān̐ti vah vastudharma sarvathā hī nahīṁ hai . aisā sarvathā ekānta samajhanese mithyātva hotā hai; isaliye syādvādakī śaraṇ lekar śuddhanayakā ālamban lenā cāhiye . svarūpakī prāpti honeke bād śuddhanayakā bhī ālamban nahīṁ rahatā . jo vastusvarūp hai vah haiyah pramāṇadr̥ṣṭi hai . isakā phal vītarāgatā hai . isaprakār niścay karanā yogya hai .

yahān̐, (jñāyakabhāv) pramatta-apramatta nahīṁ hai aisā kahā hai vahān̐ guṇasthānoṁkī paripāṭīmeṁ chaṭṭhe guṇasthān tak pramatta aur sātaveṁse lekar apramatta kahalātā hai . kintu yah sab guṇasthān aśuddhanayakī kathanīmeṁ hai; śuddhanayase to ātmā jñāyak hī hai ..6..

ab, praśna yah hotā hai ki darśan, jñān aur cāritrako ātmākā dharma kahā gayā hai, kintu yah to tīn bhed hue; aur in bhedarūp bhāvoṁse ātmāko aśuddhatā ātī hai ! isake uttarasvarūp gāthāsūtra kahate haiṁ :

cāritra, darśan, jñān bhī, vyavahār kahatā jñānike .
cāritra nahiṁ, darśan nahīṁ, nahiṁ jñān, jñāyak śuddha hai ..7..

gāthārtha :[jñāninaḥ ] jñānīke [caritraṁ darśanaṁ jñānam ] cāritra, darśan, jñānyah tīn bhāv [vyavahāreṇ ] vyavahārase [upadiśyate ] kahe jāte haiṁ; niścayase [jñānaṁ api na ] jñān bhī nahīṁ hai, [caritraṁ na ] cāritra bhī nahīṁ hai aur [darśanaṁ na ] darśan bhī nahīṁ hai; jñānī to ek [jñāyakaḥ śuddhaḥ ] śuddha jñāyak hī hai .
