yaḥ shruten kevalan shuddhamātmānan jānāti sa shrutakevalīti tāvat paramārtho; yaḥ shrutagnānan sarvan jānāti sa shrutakevalīti tu vyavahāraḥ . tadatra sarvamev tāvat gnānan nirūpyamāṇan kimātmā kimanātmā ? na tāvadanātmā, samastasyāpyanātmanashchetanetarapadārthapañchatayasya gnānatādātmyānupapatteḥ . tato gatyantarābhāvāt gnānamātmetyāyāti . ataḥ shrutagnānamapyātmaiv syāt . evan sati yaḥ
gāthārtha : — [yaḥ ] jo jīv [hi ] nishchayase (vāstavamen) [shruten tu ] shrutagnānake dvārā [iman ] is anubhavagochar [kevalan shuddham ] keval ek shuddha [ātmānan ] ātmāko [abhigachchhati ] sammukh hokar jānatā hai, [tan ] use [lokapradīpakarāḥ ] lokako pragaṭ jānanevāle [r̥uṣhayaḥ ] r̥uṣhīshvar [shrutakevalinam ] shrutakevalī [bhaṇanti ] kahate hain; [yaḥ ] jo jīv [sarvan ] sarva [shrutagnānan ] shrutagnānako [jānāti ] jānatā hai; [tan ] use [jināḥ ] jinadev [shrutakevalinan ] shrutakevalī [āhuḥ ] kahate hain, [yasmāt ] kyoṅki [gnānan sarvan ] gnān sab [ātmā ] ātmā hī hai, [tasmāt ] isaliye [shrutakevalī ] (vah jīv) shrutakevalī hai
