yathāgnirindhanamastīndhanamagnirastyagnerindhanamastīndhanasyāgnirasti, agnerindhanan pūrvamāsīdi- ndhanasyāgniḥ pūrvamāsīt, agnerindhanan punarbhaviṣhyatīndhanasyāgniḥ punarbhaviṣhyatītīndhan evā- sadbhūtāgnivikalpatvenāpratibuddhaḥ kashchillakṣhyet, tathāhametadasmyetadahamasti mamaitadastyetasyāhamasmi, mamaitatpūrvamāsīdetasyāhan pūrvamāsan, mamaitatpunarbhaviṣhyatyetasyāhan punarbhaviṣhyāmīti paradravya evāsadbhūtātmavikalpatvenāpratibuddho lakṣhyetātmā . nāgnirindhanamasti nendhanamagnirastyagni- ragnirastīndhanamindhanamasti nāgnerindhanamasti nendhanasyāgnirastyagneragnirastīndhanasyendhanamasti, nāgnerindhanan pūrvamāsīnnendhanasyāgniḥ pūrvamāsīdagneragniḥ pūrvamāsīdindhanasyendhanan pūrvamāsīt, nāgnerindhanan punarbhaviṣhyati nendhanasyāgniḥ punarbhaviṣhyatyagneragniḥ punarbhaviṣhyatīndhanasyendhanan punarbhaviṣhyatīti kasyachidagnāvev sadbhūtāgnivikalpavannāhametadasmi naitadahamastya- hamahamasmyetadetadasti, na mamaitadasti naitasyāhamasmi mamāhamasmyetasyaitadasti, na hoūn̐gā, — [etat tu asadbhūtam ] aisā jhūṭhā [ātmavikalpan ] ātmavikalpa [karoti ] karatā hai vah [sammūḍhaḥ ] mūḍh hai, mohī hai, agnānī hai; [tu ] aur jo puruṣh [bhūtārthan ] paramārtha vastusvarūpako [jānan ] jānatā huā [tam ] vaisā jhūṭhā vikalpa [na karoti ] nahīn karatā vah [asammūḍhaḥ ] mūḍh nahīn, gnānī hai .
ṭīkā : — (dr̥uṣhṭāntase samajhāte hainḥ) jaise koī puruṣh īndhan aur agniko milā huā dekhakar aisā jhūṭhā vikalpa kare ki ‘‘agni hai so īndhan hai aur īndhan hai so agni hai; agnikā īndhan hai, īndhanakī agni hai; agnikā īndhan pahale thā, īndhanakī agni pahale thī; agnikā īndhan bhaviṣhyamen hogā, īndhanakī agni bhaviṣhyamen hogī;’’ — aisā īndhanamen hī agnikā vikalpa karatā hai vah jhūṭhā hai, usase apratibuddha (agnānī) koī pahichānā jātā hai, isīprakār koī ātmā paradravyamen hī asatyārtha ātmavikalpa (ātmākā vikalpa) kare ki ‘‘main yah paradravya hūn̐, yah paradravya mujhasvarūp hai; yah merā paradravya hai, is paradravyakā main hūn̐; merā yah pahale thā, main isakā pahale thā; merā yah bhaviṣhyamen hogā; main isakā bhaviṣhyamen hoūn̐gā’’; — aise jhūṭhe vikalponse apratibuddha (agnānī) pahichānā jātā hai .
aur, ‘‘agni hai vah īndhan nahīn hai, īndhan hai vah agni nahīn hai, — agni hai vah agni hī hai, īndhan hai vah īndhan hī hai; agnikā īndhan nahīn, īndhanakī agni nahīn, — agnikī hī agni hai, īndhanakā īndhan hai; agnikā īndhan pahale nahīn thā, īndhanakī agni pahale nahīn thī, — agnikī agni pahale thī īndhanakā īndhan pahale thā; agnikā īndhan bhaviṣhyamen nahīn hogā, īndhanakī agni bhaviṣhyamen nahīn hogī, — agnikī agni hī bhaviṣhyamen hogī, īndhanakā īndhan hī bhaviṣhyamen hogā’’;
