kare chhe evā (कोलाहलेन किम्) je jūṭhā vikalpo temanāthī shun? tenun vivaraṇ — koī mithyādraṣhṭi jīv sharīrane jīv kahe chhe, koī mithyādraṣhṭi jīv āṭh karmone jīv kahe chhe, koī mithyādraṣhṭi jīv rāgādi sūkṣhma adhyavasāyane jīv kahe chhe — ityādirūpe anek prakāranā bahu vikalpo kare chhe. he jīv! te badhāy vikalpo chhoḍ, kem ke te jūṭhā chhe. ‘‘निभृतः सन् स्वयं एकम् पश्य’’ (निभृतः) ekāgrarūp (सन्) thato thako (एकम्) shuddha chidrūpamātrano (स्वयम्) svasamvedanapratyakṣhapaṇe (पश्य) anubhav kar. ‘‘षण्मासम्’’ viparītapaṇun je rīte chhūṭe te rīte chhoḍīne. ‘‘अपि’’ vāramvār bahu shun kahevun? āvo anubhav karatān svarūpaprāpti chhe, te ja kahe chhe — ‘‘ननु हृदयसरसि पुंसः अनुपलब्धिः किम् भाति’’ (ननु) he jīv! (हृदयसरसि) manarūpī sarovaramān chhe (पुंसः) je jīvadravya tenī (अनुपलब्धिः) aprāpti (किं भाति) shobhe chhe shun? bhāvārtha ām chhe ke shuddha svarūpano anubhav karatān svarūpanī prāpti na thāy em to nathī; ‘‘च उपलब्धिः’’ (च) chhe to em ja chhe ke (उपलब्धिः) avashya prāpti thāy chhe. kevun chhe jīvadravya? ‘‘पुद्गलात् भिन्नधाम्नः’’ (पुद्गलात्) dravyakarma-bhāvakarma-nokarmathī (भिन्नधाम्नः) bhinna chhe — chetanarūp chhe — tejaḥpuñj jeno, evun chhe. 2 – 34.

स्फु टतरमवगाह्य स्वं च चिच्छक्तिमात्रम् ।
कलयतु परमात्मात्मानमात्मन्यनन्तम् ।।४-३६।।✽
khaṇḍānvay sahit arthaḥ — ‘‘आत्मा आत्मनि इमम् आत्मानम् कलयतु’’ (आत्मा) ātmā arthāt jīvadravya (आत्मनि) potāmān (इमम् आत्मानम्) potāne (कलयतु) nirantar anubhavo. kevo chhe anubhavayogya ātmā? ‘‘विश्वस्य साक्षात् उपरि चरन्तं’’ (विश्वस्य) samasta trailokyamān (उपरि चरन्तं) sarvotkr̥uṣhṭa chhe, upādey chhe — (साक्षात्) evo ja chhe, vadhārīne nathī kahetā. vaḷī kevo chhe? ‘‘चारु’’ sukhasvarūp chhe. vaḷī kevo chhe? ‘‘परम्’’ shuddhasvarūp chhe. vaḷī kevo chhe? ‘‘अनन्तम्’’ shāshvat chhe. have je rīte anubhav thāy chhe te ja kahe chhe — ‘‘चिच्छक्तिरिक्तं सकलम् अपि अह्नाय विहाय’’ (चित्-शक्तिरिक्तं) gnānaguṇathī shūnya evān (सकलम् अपि) samasta dravyakarma-bhāvakarma-nokarmone (अह्नाय) mūḷathī (विहाय) chhoḍīne. bhāvārtha ām chhe ke jeṭalī koī karmajāti chhe te samasta hey chhe, temān koī karma upādey nathī. vaḷī anubhav je rīte thāy chhe te kahe chhe — ‘‘चिच्छक्तिमात्रम् स्वं च स्फु टतरम् अवगाह्य’’ (चित्-शक्तिमात्रम्) gnānaguṇ te ja chhe svarūp jenun evā (स्वं च) potāne (स्फु टतरम्) pratyakṣhapaṇe (अवगाह्य) āsvādīne. bhāvārtha ām chhe ke jeṭalā vibhāvapariṇāmo chhe te badhāy jīvanā nathī, shuddha chaitanyamātra jīv chhe evo anubhav kartavya chhe. 4 – 36.

te kāraṇe ja (अन्तःतत्त्वतः पश्यतः) shuddha svarūpano anubhavashīl chhe je jīv tene (अमी) vibhāvapariṇāmo (द्रष्टाः) draṣhṭigochar (नो स्युः) nathī thatā; ‘‘परं एकं द्रष्टम् स्यात्’’ (परं) utkr̥uṣhṭa chhe evun (एकं) shuddha chaitanyadravya (द्रष्टम्) draṣhṭigochar (स्यात्) thāy chhe. bhāvārtha ām chhe ke varṇādik ane rāgādik vidyamān dekhāy chhe topaṇ svarūp anubhavatān svarūpamātra chhe, tethī vibhāvapariṇatirūp vastu to kāī nathī. 5-37.
तदेव तत्स्यान्न कथंचनान्यत् ।
पश्यन्ति रुक्मं न कथंचनासिम् ।।६-३८।।

निर्माणमेकस्य हि पुद्गलस्य ।
यतः स विज्ञानघनस्ततोऽन्यः ।।७-३९।।
khaṇḍānvay sahit arthaḥ — ‘‘हि इदं वर्णादिसामग्य्राम् एकस्य पुद्गलस्य निर्माणम् विदन्तु’’ (हि) nishchayathī (इदं) vidyamān (वर्णादिसामग्य्राम्) guṇasthān, mārgaṇāsthān, dravyakarma, bhāvakarma, nokarma ityādi jeṭalā ashuddha paryāyo chhe te badhāy (एकस्य पुद्गलस्य) ekalā pudgaladravyanun (निर्माणम्) kārya chhe arthāt pudgaladravyanā chitarāmaṇ jevā chhe em (विदन्तु) he jīvo! niḥsandehapaṇe jāṇo. ‘‘तत्ः इदं पुद्गलः एव अस्तु, न आत्मा’’ (ततः) te kāraṇathī (इदं) sharīrādi sāmagrī (पुद्गलः) je pudgaladravyathī thaī chhe te ja pudgaladravya chhe, (एव) nishchayathī (अस्तु) te ja chhe; (न आत्मा) ātmā ajīvadravyarūp thayo nathī. ‘‘यतः सः विज्ञानघनः’’ (यतः) jethī (सः) jīvadravya (विज्ञानघनः) gnānaguṇano samūh chhe, ‘‘ततः अन्यः’’ (ततः) tethī (अन्यः) jīvadravya bhinna chhe, sharīrādi paradravya bhinna chhe. bhāvārtha ām chhe ke lakṣhaṇabhede vastuno bhed hoy chhe, tethī chaitanyalakṣhaṇe jīvavastu bhinna chhe,

achetanalakṣhaṇe sharīrādi bhinna chhe. ahīn koī āshaṅkā kare chhe ke kahevāmān to em ja kahevāy chhe ke ‘ekendriy jīv, be-indriy jīv’ ityādi; dev jīv, manuṣhya jīv’ ityādi; ‘rāgī jīv, dveṣhī jīv’ ityādi. uttar ām chhe ke kahevāmān to vyavahārathī em ja kahevāy chhe, nishchayathī evun kahevun jūṭhun chhe. te (have) kahe chhe. 7-39.
khaṇḍānvay sahit arthaḥ — draṣhṭānt kahe chhe — ‘‘चेत् कुम्भः घृतमयः न’’ (चेत्) jo em chhe ke (कुम्भः) ghaḍo (घृतमयः न) ghīno to nathī, māṭīno chhe, ‘‘घृतकुम्भामिधाने अपि’’ (घृतकुम्भ) ‘ghīno ghaḍo’ (अभिधाने अपि) em kahevāy chhe tathāpi ghaḍo māṭīno chhe, [bhāvārtha ām chhe — je ghaḍāmān ghī rākhavāmān āve chhe te ghaḍāne joke ‘ghīno ghaḍo’ em kahevāy chhe topaṇ ghaḍo māṭīno chhe, ghī bhinna chhe,] to tevī rīte ‘‘वर्णादिमज्जीवः जल्पने अपि जीवः तन्मयः न’’ (वर्णादिमज्जीवः जल्पने अपि) joke ‘sharīr-sukh-duḥkh-rāg- dveṣhasanyukta jīv’ em kahevāy chhe topaṇ (जीवः तन्मयः न) chetanadravya evo jīv to sharīr nathī, jīv to manuṣhya nathī; jīv chetanasvarūp bhinna chhe. bhāvārtha ām chhe ke āgamamān guṇasthānonun svarūp kahyun chhe tyān ‘dev jīv, manuṣhya jīv, rāgī jīv, dveṣhī jīv’ ityādi ghaṇā prakāre kahyun chhe, paṇ te saghaḷuy kahevun vyavahāramātrathī chhe; dravyasvarūp jotān evun kahevun jūṭhun chhe. koī prashna kare chhe ke jīv kevo chhe? uttar – jevo chhe tevo have kahe chhe. 8 – 40.

khaṇḍānvay sahit arthaḥ — ‘‘ज्ञानी जनः लक्षणतः जीवात् अजीवम् विभिन्नं इति स्वयं अनुभवति’’ (ज्ञानी जनः) samyagdraṣhṭi jīv, (लक्षणतः) jīvanun lakṣhaṇ chetanā tathā ajīvanun lakṣhaṇ jaḍ evo moṭo bhed chhe tethī (जीवात्) jīvadravyathī (अजीवम्) ajīvadravya – pudgal ādi (विभिन्नं) sahaj ja bhinna chhe, (इति) ā prakāre (स्वयं) svānubhavapratyakṣhapaṇe (अनुभवति) āsvād kare chhe. kevun chhe ajīvadravya? ‘‘उल्लसन्तम्’’ potānā guṇ-paryāyathī prakāshamān chhe. ‘‘तत् तु अज्ञानिनः अयं मोहः कथम् अहो नानटीति बत’’ (तत् तु) ām chhe to pachhī (अज्ञानिनः) mithyādraṣhṭi jīvane (अयं) je pragaṭ chhe evo (मोहः) jīv-karmanā ekatvarūp viparīt sanskār (कथम् नानटीति) kem pravartī rahyo chhe (बत अहो) e āshcharya chhe! bhāvārtha ām chhe ke sahaj ja jīv- ajīv bhinna chhe evun anubhavatān to barābar chhe, satya chhe; mithyādraṣhṭi je ek karīne anubhave chhe te āvo anubhav kaī rīte āve chhe e moṭo achambo chhe. kevo chhe moh? ‘‘निरवधिप्रविजृम्भितः’’ (निरवधि) anādi kāḷathī (प्रविजृम्भितः) santānarūpe prasarī rahyo chhe. 11 – 43.

anubhave chhe to pachhī draṣhṭino doṣh chhe, vastu jevī bhinna chhe. tevī ja chhe, ek karīne anubhavatān ek thatī nathī, kem ke ghaṇun antar chhe. kevun chhe avivekanāṭya (arthāt jīv-ajīvanī ekatvabuddhirūp vibhāvapariṇām)? ‘‘अनादिनि’’ anādithī ekatva-sanskārabuddhi chālī āvī chhe – evun chhe. vaḷī kevun chhe avivekanāṭya? ‘‘महति’’ jemān thoḍuṅk viparītapaṇun nathī, ghaṇun viparītapaṇun chhe. kevun chhe pudgal? ‘‘वर्णादिमान्’’ sparsha, ras, gandh, varṇaguṇathī sanyukta chhe. ‘‘च अयं जीवः रागादि- पुद्गलविकारविरुद्धशुद्धचैतन्यधातुमयमूर्तिः’’ (च अयं जीवः) ane ā jīvavastu āvī chheḥ (रागादि) rāg, dveṣh, krodh, mān, māyā, lobh evā asaṅkhyāt lokamātra ashuddharūp jīvanā pariṇām — (पुद्गलविकार) anādi bandhaparyāyathī vibhāvapariṇām — temanāthī (विरुद्ध) rahit chhe evī, (शुद्ध) nirvikār chhe evī (चैतन्यधातु) shuddha chidrūp vastu (मय) te-rūp chhe (मूर्तिः) sarvasva jenun evī chhe. bhāvārtha ā pramāṇe chhe ke jem pāṇī kādav maḷatān melun chhe, tyān te melāpaṇun raṅg chhe, te raṅgane aṅgīkār nahi karatān bākī je kāī chhe te pāṇī ja chhe; tem jīvane karmabandhaparyāyarūp avasthāmān rāgādi bhāv raṅg chhe, te raṅgane aṅgīkār nahi karatān bākī je kāī chhe te chetanadhātumātra vastu chhe. ānun nām shuddhasvarūp-anubhav jāṇavun, ke je samyagdraṣhṭine hoy chhe. 12 – 44.

chhe, pudgaladravya paṇ potānā achetan lakṣhaṇarūpe — shuddha paramāṇurūpe athavā gnānāvaraṇādi karmapiṇḍarūpe potānāmān vyāpya-vyāpakapaṇe pariṇame chhe, vastunun svarūp evun to chhe parantu jīvadravya ane pudgaladravya banne maḷīne, ashuddha chetanārūp chhe je rāg-dveṣharūp pariṇām te-rūpe pariṇame chhe em to nathī; athavā jīv ane pudgal maḷīne gnānāvaraṇādi pudgalakarmapiṇḍarūpe pariṇame chhe em to nathī;]
परिणामः न प्रजायेत’’ (उभयोः) jīvadravya ane pudgaladravya temanā (परिणामः) banne maḷīne ekaparyāyarūp pariṇām (न प्रजायेत) thatā nathī; ‘‘उभयोः परिणतिः न स्यात्’’ (उभयोः) jīv ane pudgalanī (परिणतिः) maḷīne ek kriyā (न स्यात्) thatī nathī; – vastunun svarūp āvun ja chhe; ‘‘यतः अनेकम् अनेकम् एव सदा’’ (यतः) kāraṇ ke (अनेकम्) bhinna sattārūp chhe jīv-pudgal (अनेकम् एव सदा) te to jīv-pudgal sadāy bhinnarūp chhe, ekarūp kem thaī shake? bhāvārtha ām chhe ke jīvadravya-pudgaladravya bhinna sattārūp chhe te jo pahelān bhinna sattāpaṇun chhoḍī ek sattārūp thāy to pachhī kartā-karma-kriyāpaṇun ghaṭe. te to ekarūp thatān nathī tethī jīv-pudgalanun paraspar kartā- karma-kriyāpaṇun ghaṭatun nathī. 8 – 53.
khaṇḍānvay sahit arthaḥ — ahīn koī matāntar nirūpashe ke dravyanī ananta shaktio chhe, to ek shakti evī paṇ hashe ke ek dravya be dravyonā pariṇāmane kare; jevī rīte jīvadravya potānā ashuddha chetanārūp rāg-dveṣh- mohapariṇāmane vyāpya-vyāpakapaṇe kare tevī ja rīte gnānāvaraṇādi karmapiṇḍane vyāpya- vyāpakapaṇe kare. uttar ām chhe ke dravyane ananta shaktio to chhe parantu evī shakti to koī nathī ke jenāthī, jevī rīte potānā guṇ sāthe vyāpya-vyāpakapaṇe chhe tevī ja rīte paradravyanā guṇ sāthe paṇ vyāpya-vyāpakapaṇe thāy. ‘‘हि एकस्य द्वौ कर्तारौ न’’ (हि) nishchayathī (एकस्य) ek pariṇāmanā (द्वौ कर्तारौ न) be dravya kartā nathī; [bhāvārtha ām chhe ke ashuddha chetanārūp rāg-dveṣh-mohapariṇāmanun jevī rīte

vyāpya-vyāpakapaṇe jīvadravya kartā chhe tevī ja rīte pudgaladravya paṇ ashuddha chetanārūp rāg-dveṣh-mohapariṇāmanun kartā chhe em to nathī; jīvadravya potānā rāg- dveṣh-mohapariṇāmanun kartā chhe, pudgaladravya kartā nathī;] ‘‘एकस्य द्वे कर्मणी न स्तः’’ (एकस्य) ek dravyanā (द्वे कर्मणी न स्तः) be pariṇām hotā nathī; [bhāvārtha ām chhe ke jevī rīte jīvadravya rāg-dveṣh-moharūp ashuddha chetanāpariṇāmanun vyāpya- vyāpakapaṇe kartā chhe tevī rīte gnānāvaraṇādi achetan karmano kartā jīv chhe em to nathī; potānā pariṇāmano kartā chhe, achetanapariṇāmarūp karmano kartā nathī;] ‘‘च एकस्य द्वे क्रिये न’’ (च) vaḷī (एकस्य) ek dravyanī (द्वे क्रिये न) be kriyā hotī nathī; [bhāvārtha ām chhe ke jīvadravya jevī rīte chetanapariṇatirūp pariṇame chhe tevī ja rīte achetanapariṇatirūp pariṇamatun hoy em to nathī;] ‘‘यतः एकम् अनेकं न स्यात्’’ (यतः) kāraṇ ke (एकम्) ek dravya (अनेकं न स्यात्) be dravyarūp kem thāy? bhāvārtha ām chhe ke jīvadravya ek chetanadravyarūp chhe te jo pahelān anek dravyarūp thāy to gnānāvaraṇādi karmanun kartā paṇ thāy, potānā rāg-dveṣh-moharūp ashuddha chetanapariṇāmanun paṇ kartā thāy; paṇ em to chhe nahi. anādinidhan jīvadravya ekarūp ja chhe, tethī potānā ashuddha chetanapariṇāmanun kartā chhe, achetanakarmanun kartā nathī. āvun vastusvarūp chhe. 9 – 54.
र्दुर्वारं ननु मोहिनामिह महाहङ्काररूपं तमः ।
तत्किं ज्ञानघनस्य बन्धनमहो भूयो भवेदात्मनः ।।१०-५५।।
khaṇḍānvay sahit arthaḥ — ‘‘ननु मोहिनाम् अहम् कुर्वे इति तमः आसंसारतः एव धावति’’ (ननु) aho jīv! (मोहिनाम्) mithyādraṣhṭi jīvono (अहम् कुर्वे इति तमः) ‘gnānāvaraṇādi karmano kartā jīv chhe’ evo chhe je mithyātvarūp andhakār te (आसंसारतः एव धावति) anādi kāḷathī ek-santānarūp chālyo āvyo chhe. kevo chhe

mithyātvarūpī andhakār? ‘‘परं’’ paradravyasvarūp chhe. vaḷī kevo chhe? ‘‘उच्चकैः दुर्वारं’’ atishay dhīṭh chhe. vaḷī kevo chhe? ‘‘महाहंकाररूपं’’ (महाहंकार) ‘hun dev, hun manuṣhya, hun tiryañch, hun nārak’ evī je karmanā paryāyamān ātmabuddhi (रूपं) te ja chhe svarūp jenun evo chhe. ‘‘यदि तद् भूतार्थपरिग्रहेण एकवारं विलयं व्रजेत्’’ (यदि) jo kadī, (तत्) evo chhe je mithyātva-andhakār te (भूतार्थपरिग्रहेण) shuddhasvarūp-anubhav vaḍe (एकवारं) antarmuhūrtamātra (विलयं व्रजेत्) vināshane pāme to, [bhāvārtha ām chhe ke jīvane yadyapi mithyātva-andhakār ananta kāḷathī chālyo āvyo chhe tathāpi jo samyaktva thāy to mithyātva chhūṭe, jo ek vār chhūṭe to,] ‘‘अहो तत् आत्मनः भूयः बन्धनं किं भवेत्’’ (अहो) he jīv! (तत्) te kāraṇathī (आत्मनः) ātmāne arthāt jīvane (भूयः) pharīne (बन्धनं किं भवेत्) ekatvabuddhi shun thāy? arthāt na thāy. kevo chhe ātmā? ‘‘ज्ञानघनस्य’’ gnānano samūh chhe. bhāvārtha — shuddhasvarūpano anubhav thatān sansāramān paribhramaṇ thatun nathī. 10 – 55.
khaṇḍānvay sahit arthaḥ — ‘‘आत्मा आत्मभावान् करोति’’ (आत्मा) jīvadravya (आत्मभावान्) potānā shuddhachetanārūp athavā ashuddhachetanārūp rāg-dveṣh-mohabhāv, (करोति) te-rūpe pariṇame chhe. ‘‘परः परभावान् सदा करोति’’ (परः) pudgaladravya (परभावान्) pudgaladravyanā gnānāvaraṇādirūp paryāyane (सदा) traṇe kāḷe (करोति) kare chhe. ‘‘हि आत्मनः भावाः आत्मा एव’’ (हि) nishchayathī (आत्मनः भावाः) jīvanā pariṇām (आत्मा एव) jīv ja chhe. bhāvārtha ām chhe ke chetanāpariṇāmane jīv kare chhe, te chetanapariṇām paṇ jīv ja chhe, dravyāntar thayun nathī. ‘‘परस्य ते परः एव’’ (परस्य) pudgaladravyanā (ते) pariṇām (परः एव) pudgaladravya chhe, jīvadravya thayun nathī. bhāvārtha ām chhe ke gnānāvaraṇādi karmanun kartā pudgal chhe ane vastu paṇ pudgal chhe, dravyāntar nathī. 11 – 56.
