अह णीरोओ होदि हु तह वि ण पावेदि जीवियं सुइरं
अह चिरकालं जीवदि तो सीलं णेव पावेदि ।।२९३।।
अथ नीरोगः भवति स्फु टं तथापि न प्राप्नोति जीवितं सुचिरम्
अथ चिरकालं जीवति तत् शीलं नैव प्राप्नोति ।।२९३।।

arthaḥathavā kadāchit nīrog paṇ thāy to tyān dīrgha jīvan athavā dīrghāyu na pāme; e pāmavun durlabh chhe; athavā kadāchit dīrgha āyu paṇ pāme to tyān shīl arthāt uttam prakr̥iti-bhadra-pariṇām na pāme; tethī suṣhṭhu (uttambhadrasaraḷ) svabhāv pāmavo durlabh chhe.

अह होदि सीलजुत्तो तह वि ण पावेइ साहुसंसग्गं
अह तं पि कह वि पावदि सम्मत्तं तह वि अइदुलहं ।।२९४।।
अथ भवति शीलयुक्तः तथापि न प्राप्नोति साधुसंसर्गम्
अथ तमपि कथं अपि प्राप्नोति सम्यक्त्वं तथा अपि अतिदुर्लभम् ।।२९४।।

arthaḥkadāchit uttamasvabhāv paṇ pāme to tyān sādhu puruṣhonī saṅgati pāme nahi, ane te paṇ kadāchit pāme to tyān samyagdarshan pāmavunsatshraddhān thavun ati durlabh chhe.

सम्मत्ते वि य लद्धे चारित्तं णेव गिह्णदे जीवो
अह कह वि तं पि गिह्णदि तो पालेदुं ण सक्केदि ।।२९५।।
सम्यक्त्वे अपि च लब्धे चारित्रं नैव गृह्णाति जीवः
अथ कथमपि तत् अपि गृह्णाति तत् पालयितुं न शक्नोति ।।२९५।।

arthaḥkadāchit samyaktva paṇ pāme to tyān ā jīv chāritra grahaṇ kare nahīn, kadāchit chāritra paṇ grahaṇ kare to tene nirdoṣhapaṇe pālan karī shake nahi.

रयणत्तये वि लद्धे तिव्वकसायं करेदि जइ जीवो
तो दुग्गईसु गच्छदि पणट्ठरयणत्तओ होउं ।।२९६।।

तहिं दुर्गतिषु गच्छति प्रणष्टरत्नत्रयः भूत्वा ।।२९६।।

arthaḥā jīv kadāchit ratnatray paṇ pāme ane tyān tīvra kaṣhāy kare to, nāshane prāpta thayun chhe ratnatray jenun evo banī, durgatimān gaman kare chhe.

evun manuṣhyapaṇun durlabh chhe eṭalā māṭe (jīvane) ratnatrayanī prāpti thāo! em kahe chheḥ

रयणु व्व जलहिपडियं मणुयत्तं तं पि होदि अइदुलहं
एवं सुणिच्छइत्ता मिच्छकसाए य वज्जेह ।।२९७।।
रत्नं इव जलधिपतितं मनुजत्वं तत् अपि भवति अतिदुर्ल्लभम्
एवं सुनिश्चित्य मिथ्यात्वकषायान् च वर्जयत ।।२९७।।

arthaḥjem mahān samudramān paḍī gayelun ratna pharī pāmavun durlabh chhe tem ā manuṣhyapaṇun pāmavun durlabh chhe.evo nishchay karī he bhavyajīvo! ā mithyātva ane kaṣhāyane chhoḍo. evo shrīguruono upadesh chhe.

मणुवगईए वि तओ मणुवगईए महव्वदं सयलं
मणुवगदीए झाणं मणुवगदीए वि णिव्वाणं ।।२९९।।
मनुजगतौ अपि तपः मनुजगतौ महाव्रतं सक लम्
मनुजगतौ ध्यानं मनुजगतौ अपि निर्वाणम् ।।२९९।।

arthaḥhe bhavyajīv! ā manuṣhyagatimān ja tapanun ācharaṇ hoy chhe, ā manuṣhyagatimān ja sakal mahāvrat hoy chhe, ā manuṣhyagatimān ja dharmashukladhyān hoy chhe tathā ā manuṣhyagatimān ja nirvāṇ arthāt mokṣhanī prāpti hoy chhe.

इय दुलहं मणुयत्तं लहिऊणं जे रमंति विसएसु
ते लहिय दिव्वरयणं भूइणिमित्तं पजालंति ।।३००।।
इति दुर्लभं मनुजत्वं लब्ध्वा ये रमन्ते विषयेषु
ते लब्ध्वा दिव्यरत्नं भूतिनिमित्तं प्रज्वालयन्ति ।।३००।।

arthaḥevun ā manuṣhyapaṇun pāmī je indriyaviṣhayomān rame chhe te divya amūlya ratnane pāmī, tene bhasmane māṭe dagdha kare chhe.

bhāvārthaḥati kaṭhaṇatāthī prāpta thavā yogya evo ā manuṣhyaparyāy ek amūlya ratna tulya chhe; tene viṣhaykaṣhāyomān ramī vr̥uthā gumāvavo yogya nathī.

arthaḥā badhun durlabhamān paṇ durlabh jāṇī tathā darshan-gnān -chāritra sansāramān durlabhathī paṇ durlabh jāṇī, e darshan-gnān-chāritrano he bhavyajīvo! tame mahān ādar karo!

bhāvārthaḥnigodamānthī nīkaḷī upar kahel anukramathī sarva durlabhathī paṇ durlabh jāṇo! vaḷī temān paṇ samyagdarshan-gnān-chāritranī prāpti to atyant durlabh samajo! tene pāmīne bhavyajīvoe teno mahān ādar karavo yogya chhe.

12. dhārmānuprekṣhā

have dharmānuprekṣhānun nirūpaṇ kare chhe. tyān ‘dharmanun mūḷ sarvagnadev chhe’em pragaṭ kare chheḥ

जो जाणदि पच्चक्खं तियालगुणपज्जएहिं संजुत्तं
लोयालोयं सयलं सो सव्वह्णू हवे देवो ।।३०२।।
यः जानाति प्रत्यक्षं त्रिकालगुणपर्ययैः संयुक्तम्
लोकालोकं सकलं सः सर्वज्ञः भवेत् देवः ।।३०२।।

arthaḥtrikāl gochar samasta guṇ-paryāyo sahit sampūrṇa lok -alokane je pratyakṣha jāṇe chhe te sarvagnadev chhe.

bhāvārthaḥā lokamān jīvadravya anantānant chhe, tenāthī anantānantagaṇān pudgaladravyo chhe, ākāsh, dharma ane adharmadravya ek-ek chhe tathā asaṅkhyāt kālāṇudravyo chhe, lokākāshanī pār (āsapās) anantapradeshī ākāshadravya chhe te alok chhe. te sarva dravyono anant samayarūp bhūtakāḷ tathā tenāthī anantagaṇā samayarūp bhaviṣhyakāḷ chhe.1 te kāḷanā samay-samayavartī ek dravyanā anant anant paryāy chhe. te badhāy dravyaparyāyone, yugapat (ekasāthe) ek samayamān pratyakṣha spaṣhṭa bhinna-bhinna jem chhe tem, jenun gnān jāṇe chhe te sarvagnadev chhe. e ja dev chhe, bākī bījāne dev kahevāmān āve chhe te kahevāmātra chhe. ahīn kahevānun tātparya e chhe ke dharmanun svarūp kahevāmān āvashe. te dharmanun yathārtha svarūp indriyagochar nathī paṇ atīndriy chhe ane tenun phaḷ svarga-mokṣha chhe te paṇ atīndriy chhe. chhadmasthane indriyagnān chhe te parokṣha tene gnānagochar nathī. je sarva padārthone pratyakṣha dekhe te dharmanun svarūp paṇ pratyakṣha dekhe. eṭalā māṭe e dharmanun svarūp shrī sarvagnadevanān vachanathī 1 juo pāchhaḷ gāthā 221

ja pramāṇ chhe, anya chhadmasthanun kahelun pramāṇ nathī. parantu sarvagnanā vachananī paramparāpūrvak chhadmastha kahe te pramāṇ chhe. tethī dharmanā svarūpakathanamān mūḷakāraṇarūp sarvagnanun ahīn sthāpan karyun.

have je sarvagnane mānato nathī tene kahe chheḥ

जदि ण हवदि सव्वह्णू ता को जाणदि अदिंदियं अत्थं
इंदियणाणं ण मुणदि थूलं पि असेसपज्जायं ।।३०३।।
यदि न भवति सर्वज्ञः ततः कः जानाति अतीन्द्रियं अर्थम्
इन्द्रियज्ञानं न जानाति स्थूलं अपि अशेषपर्यायम् ।।३०३।।

arthaḥhe sarvagnanā abhāvavādī? jo sarvagna na hoy to atīndriy padārthoindriyagochar nathī evā padārthonekoṇ jāṇe? indriyagnān to indriyonā sambandhamān āvelā vartamān sthūl padārthone jāṇe chhe. tenā paṇ samasta paryāyone te jāṇatun nathī.

bhāvārthaḥsarvagnano abhāv mīmānsak tathā nāstik kahe chhe. temane ahīn niṣhedhyā chhe ke jo sarvagna na hoy to atīndriy padārthone koṇ jāṇe? kāraṇ ke dharmaadharmanun phaḷ to atīndriy chhe, tene sarvagna vinā (yathārthapūrṇa) koī jāṇī shakatun nathī. eṭalā māṭe dharma-adharmanā phaḷane chāhato je puruṣh chhe te to sarvagnane mānya karī temanā vachanānusār dharmanā svarūpano nishchay karī aṅgīkār karo!

तेणुवइट्ठो धम्मो संगासत्ताण तह असंगाणं
पढमो बारहभेओ दहभेओ भासिओ बिदिओ ।।३०४।।
तेन उपदिष्टः धर्मः सङ्गासक्तानां तथा असङ्गानां
प्रथमः द्वादशभेदः दशभेदः भाषित द्वितीयः ।।३०४।।

arthaḥe sarvagnadevathī upadeshit dharma be prakārathī chheḥ ek to saṅgathī āsakta gr̥uhasthano ane bījo asaṅg munino. tyān pratham gr̥uhasthano dharma to bār bhedarūp chhe tathā bījo munino dharma dash bhedarūp chhe.

व्रतधारी सामायिकः पर्वव्रती प्रासुकाहारी ।।३०५।।
रात्रिभोजनविरतः मैथुनसारम्भसङ्गत्त्यक्तः च
कार्यानुमोदविरतः उद्दिष्टाहारविरतः च ।।३०६।।

arthaḥsamyagdarshan shuddha chhe jene evā (1) madyādik sthūl doṣhothī rahit darshanapratimā dhārak, (2) pāñch aṇuvrattraṇ guṇavrat chār shikṣhāvrat evā bār vrato sahit vratapratimādhārī, (3) sāmāyik pratimādhārī, (4) parvavratī (pauṣhadhopavās pratimādhārī), (5) prāsuk -āhārī, (6) rātribhojanatyāgī, (7) maithunatyāgī, (8) ārambh- tyāgī, (9) parigrahatyāgī, (10) kāryānumodanā rahit, (11) udiṣhṭāhār-virat. e pramāṇe (agiyār pratimā ane ek shuddha samyagdarshan mūḷ maḷī) shrāvakadharmanā bār bhed chhe. temān pratham bhed to pachchīs maḷadoṣharahit shuddha aviratasamyagdarshan chhe tathā bākīnā agiyār bhed pratimāonā vrato sahit hoy te vratī shrāvak chhe.

have e bāre dharmonān svarūp vagerenun vyākhyān kare chhe. tyān pratham ja aviratasamyagdraṣhṭinun svarūp kahe chhe. temān paṇ pahelān samyaktva utpattinī yogyatānun nirūpaṇ kare chheḥ

चदुगदिभव्वो सण्णी सुविसुद्धो जग्गमाणपज्जत्तो
संसारतडे णियडो णाणी पावेइ सम्मत्तं ।।३०७।।
चतुर्गतिभव्यः संज्ञी सुविशुद्धः जाग्रत्पर्याप्तः
संसारतटे निकटः ज्ञानी प्राप्नोति सम्यक्त्वम् ।।३०७।।

सत्तह्णं पयडीणं उवसमदो होदि उवसमं सम्मं
खयदो य होदि खइयं केवलिमूले मणूसस्स ।।३०८।।
सप्तानां प्रकृतीनां उपशमतः भवति उपशमं सम्यक्त्वम्
क्षयतः च भवति क्षायिकं केवलिमूले मनुष्यस्य ।।३०८।।

arthaḥmithyātva, samyagmithyātva, samyakprakr̥itimithyātva, anantānubandhī krodh-mān-māyā-lobh e sāt mohakarmanī prakr̥itiono upasham thatān aupashamik samyaktva utpanna thāy chhe tathā e sāte mohakarmanī prakr̥itiono kṣhay thatān kṣhāyik samyaktva utpanna thāy chhe. ā kṣhāyik samyaktva kevaḷagnānī vā shrutakevaḷīnā nikaṭapaṇāmān karmabhūminā manuṣhyane ja ūpaje chhe.

bhāvārthaḥmithyātva ane samyagmithyātvanā udayano abhāv hoy samyakprakr̥itino uday hoy, anantānubandhī krodh-mān-māyā-lobhanā udayano abhāv hoy tathā visanyojan2 karī apratyākhyānāvaraṇādirūpathī udayamān hoy, te veḷā kṣhāyopashamik samyaktva ūpaje chhe. ā traṇe samyaktvanī utpattinun visheṣh kathan shrī gommaṭasārlabdhisārathī jāṇavun.

गिह्णदि मुंचदि जीवो बे सम्मत्ते असंखवाराओ
पढमकसायविणासं देसवयं कुणइ उक्किट्ठं ।।३१०।।
गृह्णाति मुञ्चति जीवः द्वे सम्यक्त्वे असंख्यवारान्
प्रथमकषायविनाशं देशव्रतं करोति उत्कृष्टम् ।।३१०।।

arthaḥaupashamik-kṣhāyopashamik e banne samyaktva tathā anantānubandhīno vināsh arthāt visanyojan (eṭale tene apratyākhyānādirūp pariṇamāvavun ) ane deshavrat e chārene ā jīv utkr̥uṣhṭa asaṅkhyāt vār grahaṇ kare chhe tathā chhoḍe chhe.

bhāvārthaḥpalyanā asaṅkhyātamā bhāgapramāṇ je asaṅkhyāt chhe teṭalī vār utkr̥uṣhṭapaṇe (uparanān chārene) ā jīv grahaṇ kare tathā chhoḍe, te pachhī mukti prāpta thāy chhe.

जो तच्चमणेयंतं णियमा सद्दहदि सत्तभंगेहिं

जो आयरेण मण्णदि जीवाजीवादि णवविहं अत्थं
सुदणाणेण णएहिं य सो सद्दिट्ठी हवे सुद्धो ।।३१२।।
यः तत्त्वं अनेकान्तं नियमात् श्रद्दधाति सप्तभङ्गैः
लोकानां प्रश्नवशतः व्यवहारप्रवर्त्तनार्थं च ।।३११।।
यः आदरेण मन्यते जीवाजीवादि नवविधं अर्थम्

vaḷī e ja pramāṇe jīvatva ādi visheṣh dharmomān paṇ (sāt sāt bhaṅg) lagāvavā. jem jīv nāmanī vastu upar ‘syāt jīvatva, syāt ajīvatva’ ityādi prakāre lagāvavā. tyān apekṣhā ā pramāṇe chhe ke potāno jīvatvadharma potānāmān chhe māṭe jīvatva chhe, paṇ par ajīvano ajīvatva dharma temān nathī, tathā anya dharmane mukhya karī kahīe to tenī apekṣhāe ajīvatva chhe ityādi prakārathī lagāvavā. tathā jīv anant chhe enī apekṣhāe potānun jīvatva potānāmān chhe ane paranun jīvatva temān nathī tethī e apekṣhāe ajīvatva chhe em paṇ sādhī shakāy chhe. ityādi anādinidhan anant jīvajīv vastu chhe, te sarvamān potapotānā dravyatvaparyāyatva ādi anant dharma chhe, te sarva sahit saptabhaṅg sādhavā. vaḷī tenā sthūl paryāy chhe te paṇ chirakāḷasthāyī anek dharmarūp hoy chhe, jem ke jīv sansārīsiddha. sansārīmān tras ane sthāvar, temān manuṣhya tiryañch ādi, pudgalamān paṇ aṇu-skandh, ghaṭ-paṭ ādi. have temān paṇ kathañchit vastupaṇun sambhave chhe; e paṇ upar pramāṇe saptabhaṅgathī sādhavā. vaḷī e ja pramāṇe jīv-pudgalanā sanyogathī thayelā āsrav, bandh, samvar, nirjarā, puṇya, pāp ane mokṣha ādi bhāvamān paṇ bahudharmapaṇānī apekṣhāe tathā paraspar vidhiniṣhedhathī anek dharmarūp kathañchit vastupaṇun sambhave chhe. e sarva paṇ saptabhaṅgathī sādhavā.

ahīn ā visheṣh jāṇavun kenay, vastunā ek ek dharmano grāhak chhe ane te potapotānā viṣhayarūp dharmane grahaṇ karavāmān samān chhe, topaṇ puruṣh potānā prayojanavash tene mukhyagauṇ karīne kahe chhe. jem jīv nāmanī vastumān anek dharma chhe topaṇ chetanapaṇun ādi prāṇadhāraṇapaṇun ajīvothī asādhāraṇ joīe. ajīvothī (jīvane) judo batāvavā māṭe prayojanavash mukhya karī chetanavastunun ‘jīv’ nām rākhyun. e ja pramāṇe sarva dharmonne prayojanavash mukhyagauṇ karavānī vidhi jāṇavī.

ahīn e ja āshayathī adhyātma kathanīmān mukhyane to nishchay kahyo chhe tathā gauṇane vyavahār kahyo chhe. tyān abhedadharmane to pradhānapaṇe nishchayano viṣhay kahyo ane bhed-nayane gauṇ karī vyavahār kahyo. vaḷī dravya to abhed chhe tethī nishchayano āshray dravya chhe, tathā paryāy bhedarūp chhe tethī vyavahārano āshray paryāy chhe. tyān prayojan ā chhe kevastune bhedarūp to sarva lok jāṇe chheane je jāṇe chhe te ja prasiddha chhe, tenāthī to lok paryāyabuddhi chhe. jīvane naranārakādik paryāy chhe, rāgdveṣhkrodhmān māyālobhādi paryāy chhe tathā gnānanā bhedarūp matignānādi paṇ paryāy chhe, e sarva paryāyone ja lok jīv māne chhe, tethī e paryāyomān abhedarūp anādi anant ekabhāvarūp chetanādharmane grahaṇ karī tene nishchayanayano viṣhay kahī jīvadravyanun gnān karāvyun, ane paryāyāshrit bhedanayane gauṇ karyo. abhedadraṣhṭimān te (bhedanay) dekhāto nathī tethī abhedanayanun draḍhashraddhān karāvavā māṭe kahyun keparyāyanay chhe te vyavahār chheabhūtārtha chheasatyārtha

vaḷī anya vastune anyamān āropaṇ karī prayojan sādhavāmān āve chhe tene upachāranay kahevāmān āve chhe ane te paṇ vyavahāranayamān garbhit chhe em kahyun chhe. jyān prayojan ke nimitta hoy tyān upachār pravarte chhe. jem ‘ghīno ghaḍo’ kahīe tyān māṭīnā ghaḍānā āshraye ghī bharyun hoy tyān vyavahārījanone ādhārādheyabhāv dekhāy chhe tene pradhān karīne kahevāmān āve chhe ke ‘ghīno ghaḍo chhe’. lok paṇ em ja kahevāthī samaje ane ghīno ghaḍo maṅgāve to tene lāve. tethī upachāramān paṇ prayojan sambhave chhe. e ja pramāṇe abhedanayane mukhya karavāmān āve tyān abhedadraṣhṭimān bhed dekhāto nathī tyāre temān ja bhed kahe te asatyārtha chhe eṭale tyān paṇ upachār siddha thāy chhe. ā mukhya gauṇanā bhedane (rahasyane) samyagdraṣhṭi jāṇe chhe.

mithyādraṣhṭi anekāntavastune jāṇato nathī paṇ sarvathā ek dharma upar draṣhṭi paḍatān tene ja sarvathārūp vastu mānī anya dharmone kān to sarvathā gauṇ karī asatyārtha māne chhe ane kān to anya dharmono sarvathā abhāv ja māne chhemithyāshraddhānane draḍh kare chhe. ane te mithyātva nāmanī karma-prakr̥itinā udayathī yathārtha shraddhā thatī nathī tethī e prakr̥itinā kāryane paṇ mithyātva ja kahevāmān āve chhe. e prakr̥itino abhāv thatān tattvārthonun yathārtha shraddhān thāy chhe te ā anekāntavastumān pramāṇ nayathī sātabhaṅg dvārā sādhavāmān āve te samyaktvanun kārya chhe. tethī tene paṇ samyaktva ja kahevāmān āve chhe em jāṇavun.

जो ण य कुव्वदि गव्वं पुत्तकलत्ताइसव्वअत्थेसु
उवसमभावे भावदि अप्पाणं मुणदि तिणमेत्तं ।।३१३।।
यः न च कुर्वते गर्वं पुत्रकलत्रादिसर्वार्थेषु
उपशमभावान् भावयति आत्मानं मन्यते तृणमात्रम् ।।३१३।।

arthaḥje samyagdraṣhṭi chhe te putra-kalatra ādi sarva paradravyo tathā paradravyonā bhāvomān garva karato nathī, (jo paradravyothī potāne moṭo māne to tene samyaktva shānun?) upashamabhāvone chintave chhe. anantānubandhī sambandhī tīvra rāg-dveṣh pariṇāmonā abhāvathī upashamabhāvonī nirantar bhāvanā rākhe chhe tathā potānā ātmāne tr̥uṇasamān halako māne chhe, kāraṇ ke potānun svarūp to anant gnānādirūp chhe eṭale jyān sudhī tenī prāpti na thāy tyān sudhī te potāne tr̥uṇ barābar māne chhe, koī padārthamān garva karato nathī.

arthaḥje indriyonā viṣhayothī tathā tras-sthāvarajīvonī hinsāthī virakta nathī, parantu jinendradev dvārā kathit pravachananun shraddhān kare chhe te aviratasamyagdraṣhṭi chhe. sanyam be prakārano chheḥ ek indriyasanyam tathā bījo prāṇasanyam. indriy viṣhayothī virakta thavāne indriyasanyam kahe chhe tathā svaparajīvanā prāṇonī rakṣhāne prāṇasanyam kahe chhe. ā (chothā) guṇasthānamān e banne sanyamomānthī koī paṇ sanyam hoto nathī tethī tene aviratasamyagdraṣhṭi kahe chhe. hā, eṭalun kharun ke prayojan vinā koī paṇ hinsāmān te pravr̥utta paṇ thato nathī.

उत्तमगुणगहणरओ उत्तमसाहूण विणयसंजुत्तो
साहम्मियअणुराई सो सद्दिट्ठी हवे परमो ।।३१५।।
उत्तमगुणग्रहणरतः उत्तमसाधूनां विनयसंयुक्तः
साधर्मिकानुरागी स सदृष्टिः भवेत् परमः ।।३१५।।

arthaḥvaḷī kevo chhe te samyagdraṣhṭi? uttam guṇo je samyagdarshan-gnān-chāritra-tap ādinun grahaṇ karavāmān to anurāgī (bhāvanāvant) hoy chhe, e guṇo dhārak uttam sādhujanonā vinayathī yukta hoy chhe tathā potā samān samyagdraṣhṭi sādharmī janomān anurāgī vātsalyaguṇ sahit hoy evo te uttam samyagdraṣhṭi hoy chhe. e traṇe bhāv na hoy to jāṇavun ke tenāmān samyaktvanun yathārthapaṇun nathī.1

देहमिलियं पि जीवं णियणाणगुणेण मुणदि जो भिण्णं
जीवमिलियं पि देहं कंचुवसरिसं वियाणेइ ।।३१६।।
देहमिलितं अपि जीवं निजज्ञानगुणेन जानाति यः भिन्नम्
जीवमिलितं अपि देहं कञ्चुकसदृशं विजानाति ।।३१६।।

arthaā jīv, dehanī sāthe maḷī rahyo chhe to paṇ, potānā gnānaguṇ vaḍe potāne dehathī judo ja jāṇe chhe. vaḷī deh jīvanī sāthe maḷī rahyo chhe to paṇ, tene (dehane) te kañchuk eṭale kapaḍānā jāmā jevo jāṇe chhe. jem dehathī jāmo judo chhe tem jīvathī deh judo chhe, em te jāṇe chhe.

bhāvārthaḥsarvagna vītarāg aḍhār doṣhothī rahit devane dev māne chhe, paṇ anya doṣharahit dev chhe tene ‘ā sansārī chhe, paṇ mokṣhamārgī nathī’ em jāṇī vandatopūjato nathī, ahinsāmay dharmane dharma jāṇe chhe. vaḷī devatāone arthe yagnādimān pashune ghāt karī chaḍhāvavāmān (loko) dharma māne chhe paṇ temān pāp ja jāṇī pote temān pravartato nathī tathā granthī (bāhyaantaraṅg parigrahanī mūrchhāpakaḍ) sahit anek anyamatī veṣhadhārīo chhe vā kāḷadoṣhathī jainamatamān paṇ veṣhadhārī nipajyā chhe te sarvane veṣhadhārīpākhaṇḍī jāṇe paṇ tene vandepūje nahi, parantu sarvaparigraharahit hoy temane ja guru mānī vandanpūjan kare; kāraṇ ke dev-guru-dharmanā āshrayathī to mithyā ke samyak upadesh pravarte chhe. e kudev -kuguru-kudharmanun vandanpūjan to dūr raho tenā sansargamātrathī paṇ shraddhān bagaḍī jāy chhe māṭe samyagdraṣhṭi to teonī saṅgati paṇ karato nathī. svāmī samantabhadraāchārye ratnakaraṇḍashrāvakāchāramān em kahyun chhe kebhayathī, āshāthī, snehathī ke lobhathī e kudev, kuāgam tathā kuliṅgīveṣhadhārīne praṇām ke temano vinay je samyagdraṣhṭi chhe te karato nathī1, teonā sansargathī paṇ shraddhān bagaḍe chhedharmanī prāpti to dūr ja rahī em jāṇavun.

arthaḥā jīvane koī vyantarādi dev lakṣhmī āpato nathī, koī anya upakār paṇ karato nathī, parantu mātra jīvanān pūrvasañchit shubhāshubh karmo ja upakār ke apakār kare chhe.

bhāvārthaḥkoī em māne chhe ke‘‘vyantarādi dev amane lakṣhmī āpe chheamāro upakār kare chhe tethī teonun ame pūjanvandan karīe chhīe,’’ paṇ e ja mithyābuddhi chhe. pratham to ā kāḷamān ‘koī vyantarādi āpato hoy’ evun pratyakṣha pote dekhyun nathīupakār karato dekhāto nathī. jo em hoy to tene pūjavāvāḷā ja daridrī-duḥkhīrogī shā māṭe rahe? māṭe te vyartha kalpanā kare chhe. vaḷī parokṣharūp paṇ evo niyamarūp sambandh dekhāto nathī ke je pūje temane avashya upakārādi thāy ja chhe; mātra ā mohī jīv nirarthak ja vikalpa upajāve chhe. pūrvasañchit shubhāshubhakarmo chhe te ja ā jīvane sukh, duḥkh, dhan, daridratā, jīvan, maraṇ kare chhe.

bhāvārthaḥprayojan to lakṣhmīnun chhe. vyantaradevane ja pūjatān te lakṣhmī āpe chhe to dharma shā māṭe sevavo? vaḷī mokṣhamārganā prakaraṇamān sansāranī lakṣhmīno adhikār paṇ nathī ane samyagdraṣhṭi to mokṣhamārgī chhesansāranī lakṣhmīne hey (chhoḍavā yogya) jāṇe chhe, tenī vāñchchhā ja karato nathī. jo puṇyodayathī maḷe to bhale maḷo, na maḷe to na maḷo! te to mātra mokṣha sādhavānī ja bhāvanā bhāve chhe. tethī te sansārīdevādine shā māṭe pūjevande? kadī paṇ temane vandepūje nahi.

जं जस्स जम्मि देसे जेण विहाणेण जम्मि कालम्मि
णादं जिणेण णियदं जम्मं वा अहव मरणं वा ।।३२१।।
तं तस्स तम्मि देसे तेण विहाणेण तम्मि कालम्मि
को सक्कदि वारेदुं इंदो वा तह जिणिंदो वा ।।३२२।।
यत् यस्य यस्मिन् देशे येन विधानेन यस्मिन् काले
ज्ञातं जिनेन नियतं जन्म वा अथवा मरणं वा ।।३२१।।
तत् तस्य तस्मिन् देशे तेन विधानेन तस्मिन् काले
कः शक्नोति वारयितुं इन्द्रः वा तथा जिनेन्द्रः वा ।।३२२।।
