vaḷī naiṣhṭhik thāy chhe tyāre anukrame pratimānī pratignā paḷāy chhe. āne apratyākhyānāvaraṇ kaṣhāyano abhāv thayo chhe tethī pāñchamā guṇasthānanī pratimā atichār rahit paḷāy chhe. tyān pratyākhyānāvaraṇakaṣhāyanā tīvra – mand bhedothī agiyār pratimānā bhed chhe. jem jem kaṣhāy mand thato jāy tem tem āgalī pratimānī pratignā thatī jāy chhe. tyān em kahyun chhe ke gharanun svāmipaṇun chhoḍī gr̥uhakārya to putrādikane sompe tathā pote kaṣhāyahāninā pramāṇamān pratimānī pratignā aṅgīkār karato jāy. jyān sudhī sakalasanyam na grahaṇ kare tyān sudhī – agiyāramī pratimā sudhī naiṣhṭhik shrāvak kahevāy chhe. jyāre maraṇakāḷ āvyo jāṇe tyāre ārādhan sahit thaī, ekāgrachitta karī, parameṣhṭhīnā chintavanamān rahī samādhipūrvak prāṇ chhoḍe te sādhak kahevāy chhe. evun vyākhyān chhe.
vaḷī kahyun chhe ke gr̥uhastha, dravyanun je upārjan kare tenā chha bhāg kare. ek bhāg to dharmanā arthe āpe, ek bhāg kuṭumbanā poṣhaṇamān āpe, ek bhāg potānā bhogamān kharach kare, ek bhāg potānā svajanasamūhanā vyavahāramān kharche ane bākīnā be bhāg anāmat bhaṇḍār tarīke rākhe. te dravya koī moṭā pūjan vā prabhāvanāmān athavā kāḷ – dukāḷamān kām āve. e pramāṇe karavāthī gr̥uhasthane ākuḷatā ūpaje nahi ane dharma sādhī shakāy. ahīn sanskr̥itaṭīkākāre ghaṇun kathan karyun chhe tathā pahelānī gāthānā kathanamān anya granthonān kathan sadhāy chhe. kathan ghaṇun karyun chhe te badhun sanskr̥it ṭīkāthī jāṇavun, ahīn to gāthāno ja artha saṅkṣhepamān lakhyo chhe, visheṣh jāṇavānī ichchhā hoy teṇe rayaṇasār, vasunandīkr̥ut shrāvakāchār, ratnakaraṇḍashrāvakāchār, puruṣhārthasiddhiyupāy, amitagatishrāvakāchār ane prākr̥itadohābandhashrāvakāchār ityādi granthothī jāṇavun. ahīn saṅkṣhepamān kathan karyun chhe. e pramāṇe bārabhedarūp shrāvakadharmanun varṇan karyun.

bhāvārthaḥ — man-vachan-kāyāmān saraḷatā hoy arthāt je manamān vichāre, te ja vachanathī kahe ane te ja kāyāthī kare, paṇ bījāne bhulavaṇīmān nākhavā-ṭhagavā arthe vichār to kāī karavo ane kahevun bījun tathā karavun vaḷī kāī bījun, tyān māyākaṣhāy prabaḷ hoy chhe. em na kare paṇ niṣhkapaṭ banī pravarte, potāno doṣh chhupāve nahi paṇ jevo hoy tevo bāḷakanī māphak gurunī pāse kahe tyān uttam ārjavadharma hoy chhe.

arthaḥ — je muni jinasūtra – anukūḷ ja vachan kahe, vaḷī temān je āchārādi kahyān chhe te pālan karavāmān pote asamartha hoy topaṇ anya prakārathī na kahe, vyavahārathī paṇ alīk eṭale asatya na kahe te muni satyavādī chhe ane te ja uttam satyadharma hoy chhe.

2. rūpamātrathī kahevāmān āve arthāt chitramān jem koīnun rūp ālekhī kahevāmān āve ke ‘ā saphed varṇavāḷo phalāṇo puruṣh chhe; te rūpasatya chhe.
3. koī prayojan arthe koīnī mūrti sthāpī kahevāmān āve te sthāpanāsatya chhe.
4. koī pratītinā arthe āshrayapūrvak kahevāmān āve te pratītisatya chhe. jem ‘tāl’ evun parimāṇ visheṣh chhe. tenā āshrayathī kahevāmān āve ke ‘ā tālapuruṣh chhe’, athavā lāmbā kahe to nānānī pratīti (āshray) karīne kahe.
5. lokavyavahāranā āshrayathī kahe te samvr̥uttisatya chhe. jem kamaḷanī utpattinān anek kāraṇo chhe to paṇ paṅkamān thayun chhe māṭe paṅkaj kahīe chhīe.
6. vastune anukrame sthāpavānun vachan kahe te sanyojanāsatya chhe. jem dashalakṣhaṇanun maṇḍal kare temān anukramapūrvak chūrṇanā koṭhā kare ane kahe ā uttam kṣhamāno (koṭho) chhe, ityādi joḍarūp nām kahe, athavā bījun draṣhṭāntaḥ jem jhaverī motīnī laṭo kare temān motīonī sañgnā

ā das prakāranān satyanun kathan gommaṭasāramān paṇ chhe. tyān sāt nām to āmān chhe te ja chhe tathā traṇ nām-desh, sanyojanā ane samayanī jagyāe tyān sambhāvanā, vyavahār ane upamā em chhe ane udāharaṇ anya prakārathī chhe. e vivakṣhāno bhed samajavo, temān virodh nathī.1 e pramāṇe jinasūtrānusār satyavachananī pravr̥utti kare tene (uttam) satyadharma hoy chhe.

vichāre nahi, lokanindya kuḷanā ghare jāy nahi, dīnavr̥utti kare nahi, āgamamān kahyā pramāṇe doṣh – antarāy ṭāḷī nirdoṣh prāsuk āhār le te bhikṣhāshuddhi chhe. tyān lābh – alābh, saras – nīrasamān samānabuddhi rākhe. evī bhikṣhā pāñch prakāranī kahī chhe. 1. gocharī, 2. akṣhamrakṣhaṇ, 3. udarāgniprashaman, 4. bhramarāhār, 5. gartapūraṇ. tyān gāyanī māphak dātāranī sampadādi taraph nahi jotān jevo prāpta thayo tevo āhār levāmān ja chitta rākhe te gocharīvr̥utti chhe, jem gāḍīne vāṅgi (ūñjaṇ karī) gām pahoñchāḍe tem sanyamanī sādhak kāyāne nirdoṣh āhār āpī sanyam sādhe te akṣhamrakṣhaṇavr̥utti chhe. agni lāgī hoy tene jevā tevā pāṇīthī bujhāvī gharane bachāve tem kṣhudhāagnine saras – nīras āhārathī bujhāvī potānā pariṇām ujjvaḷ rākhe te udarāgniprashamanavr̥utti chhe. bhamaro jem phūlane bādhā na pahoñche ane vāsanā le tem muni dātārane bādhā pahoñchāḍyā sivāy āhār le te bhramarāhāravr̥utti chhe. tathā jem gartane eṭale khāḍāne jem tem bharatī karī bharī devāmān āve tem muni svād – besvād āhārathī udarane bhare te gartapūraṇavr̥utti chhe. – e pramāṇe bhikṣhāshuddhi chhe. jīvone joī yatnapūrvak maḷ-mūtra-shleṣhma-thūṅk vagere kṣhepaṇ kare te pratiṣhṭhāpanāshuddhi chhe. jyān strī, duṣhṭa jīv, napunsak, chor, madyapānī ane jīvavadh karavāvāḷā nīch manuṣhyo vasatā hoy tyān (muni) na vase te shayanāsanashuddhi chhe; vaḷī shrr̥uṅgār, vikārī ābhūṣhaṇ, sundar veṣh dhāranārī evī veshyādikanī jyān krīḍā hoy, sundar gīt, nr̥itya, vājintra jyān thatān hoy, jyān vikāranā kāraṇarūp nagna guhyapradesh jemān dekhāy evān chitra hoy, jyān hāsya-mahotsav, ghoḍā ādine shikṣhā āpavānun sthān hoy, vyāyāmabhūmi hoy tathā jenāthī krodhādik ūpajī āve evā ṭhekāṇe muni na vase te paṇ shayanāsanashuddhi chhe; jyān sudhī kāyotsargapūrvak ūbhā rahevānī shakti hoy tyān sudhī svarūpamān līn banī ūbhā rahe pachhī bese tathā koī veḷā khed maṭāḍavā māṭe alpa kāḷ sūve (te paṇ shayanāsanashuddhi chhe). jyān ārambhanī preraṇā rahit vachan pravarte paṇ yuddha – kām – karkash – pralāp – paishūnya – kaṭhor – parapīḍākārak vachan na pravarte, anek vikathārūp

arthaḥ — je muni ālok – paralokanā sukhanī apekṣhārahit tathā sukh – duḥkh, shatru – mitra, tr̥uṇ – kañchan ane nindā – prasanshādimān rāg-dveṣh- rahit samabhāvī thaī anek prakārano kāyaklesh kare chhe, te munine nirmal arthāt uttam tapadharma hoy chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — chāritra arthe je udyam ane upayog kare tene tap kahyun chhe. tyān te kāyaklesh sahit ja hoy chhe, tethī ātmāmān vibhāvapariṇatinā sanskār thāy chhe tene maṭāḍavāno te udyam kare chhe. potānā shuddhasvarūp upayogane chāritramān thambhāve chhe te ghaṇā jorathī thambhe chhe; e jor karavun e ja tap chhe. te bāhya-abhyantar bhedathī bār prakāranun kahyun chhe. tenun varṇan āgaḷ chūlikāmān karavāmān āvashe. e pramāṇe uttam tapadharmanun varṇan karyun.

arthaḥ — je muni man-vachan-kāy – kr̥ut-kārit-anumodanā pūrvak sarva chetan – achetan parigrahano sarvathā tyāg kare chhe – kevo thato thako? lokavyavahārathī virakta thato thako tyāg kare chhe — te munine nirgranthapaṇun hoy chhe.

arthaḥ — je muni strīonī saṅgati na kare, temanā rūpane na nīrakhe, kāmanī kathā tathā ‘ādi’ shabdathī tenā smaraṇādithī rahit hoy, e pramāṇe man-vachan-kāy, kr̥ut-kārit-anumodanā em nav prakārathī teno tyāg kare, te munine uttam brahmacharyadharma hoy chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — ahīn em paṇ jāṇavun ke – ‘brahma’ nām ātmā chhe, temān līn thāy te brahmacharya chhe. paradravyamān ātmā līn thāy temān strīmān līn thavun pradhān chhe, kāraṇ ke kām manamān utpanna thāy chhe eṭale anya kaṣhāyothī paṇ e pradhān chhe, ane e kāmanun ālamban strī chhe eṭale teno sansarga chhoḍī muni potānā svarūpamān līn thāy chhe. tenī saṅgati karavī, rūp nīrakhavun, tenī kathā karavī, smaraṇ karavun – e sarva chhoḍe tene brahmacharya hoy chhe. ahīn (sanskr̥it) ṭīkāmān shīlanā aḍhār hajār bhed ā pramāṇe lakhyā chheḥ —
achetan strī – kāṣhṭha, pāṣhāṇ ane lepakr̥ut chhe. tenā man-vachan-kāy tathā kr̥ut-kārit-anumodanā e chhae guṇatān aḍhār bhed thayā, tene pāñch indriyothī guṇatān nevun bhed thayā, tene dravya ane bhāvathī guṇatān ekaso enshī bhed thayā, tene krodh-mān-māyā-lobh e chārethī guṇatān sātaso vīs bhed thayā. bhed chhe. te badhāne chhoḍī jyāre ātmā potānā svarūpamān ramaṇ kare tyāre uttam brahmacharyadharma hoy chhe.
have shīlavānanun māhātmya kahe chheḥ —
★ ashubh man-vachan-kāyane shubh man-vachan-kāyathī haṇavā e rīte shīlanā nav bhed thayā.
e navane ahār, bhay, maithun ne parigraharūp chār sañgnāothī guṇatān 36 bhed thayā.
e chhatrīsane pāñch indriyonā jayathī guṇatān 180 bhed thayā. e 180ne pr̥ithvī, ap, tej, vāyu, vanaspati, be indriy, traṇ indriy, chār indriy, sañgnī pañchendriy ane asañgnī pañchendriy e dash bhedathī guṇatān 1800 bhed thayā.
tene uttamakṣhamādi dashadharme guṇatān 18000 bhed thayā.

arthaḥ — ā das prakārarūp dharma chhe te ja niyamathī dashalakṣhaṇasvarūp dharma chhe, parantu bījā ke jyān sūkṣhma paṇ hinsā hoy te dharma nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ — jyān hinsā karī temān koī anyamatī dharma sthāpan kare tene dharma kahī shakāy nahi; ā dashalakṣhaṇasvarūp dharma kahyo te ja niyamathī dharma chhe.
ā gāthāmān kahyun ke — jyān sūkṣhma paṇ hinsā hoy tyān dharma nathī.

vaḷī ā pramāṇe paṇ samajavun ke pūjā, pratiṣhṭhā, chaityālayanun nirmāpan, saṅgh – yātrā tathā vasatikānun nirmāpan ādi gr̥uhasthanān kāryo chhe, tene paṇ muni pote na kare, na karāve, na anumode; kāraṇ ke te gr̥uhasthono dharma chhe. temanun vidhān sūtramān lakhyun hoy tem gr̥uhastha kare. gr̥uhastha munine ā sambandhī prashna kare to muni ām kahe ke ‘jinasiddhāntamān gr̥uhasthano dharma pūjā – pratiṣhṭhādi lakhyo chhe tem karo.’ ā pramāṇe kahevāmān hinsāno doṣh to gr̥uhasthane ja chhe, mātra e shraddhān — bhaktidharmanī pradhānatā temān je thaī, e sambandhī je puṇya thayun. tenā sīrī (bhāgīdār) muni paṇ chhe, parantu hinsā to gr̥uhasthanī chhe, tenā sīrī (bhāgīdār) nathī. vaḷī gr̥uhastha paṇ jo hinsā karavāno abhiprāy kare to te ashubh ja chhe. pūjā – pratiṣhṭhā yatnapūrvak kare chhe te kāryamān gr̥uhasthane hinsā thāy to te kem ṭaḷe? tenun samādhān ā

arthaḥ — devagurunā arthe hinsāno ārambh paṇ jo yatino dharma hoy to jinabhagavānanān evān vachan chhe ke ‘dharma hinsā rahit chhe’ e vachan jūṭh ṭhare.
bhāvārthaḥ — bhagavāne dharma to hinsā rahit kahyo chhe māṭe dev -gurunā kārya arthe paṇ muni hinsāno ārambh na kare, shvetāmbar kahe chhe te mithyā chhe.
have dharmanun durlabhapaṇun darshāve chheḥ —
arthaḥ — e pramāṇe je jīv anādikāḷathī mithyātvasanyukta chhe, jene kāḷādi labdhi prāpta thaī nathī, tene ā jineshvaradevano dharma alabdhapūrva chhe arthāt pūrve kadī paṇ te pāmyo nathī.
bhāvārthaḥ — jīvone anādikāḷathī mithyātvanī alaṭ (gāṇṭh) evī chhe ke tene jīv – ajīvādi tattvārthonun shraddhān kadī paṇ thayun nathī

have kahe chhe ke — evā alabdhapūrva dharmane pāmī tene kevaḷ puṇyanā ja āshayathī na sevavoḥ —
arthaḥ — e dash prakāre dharmanā bhed kahyā te pāpakarmano nāsh karavāvāḷā tathā puṇyakarmane utpanna karavāvāḷā kahyā; parantu tene kevaḷ puṇyanā ja arthe eṭale prayojanathī aṅgikār na karavā.
bhāvārthaḥ — shātāvedanīy, shubhaāyu, shubhanām ane shubhagotrane to puṇyakarma kahe chhe tathā chār ghātikarma, ashātāvedanīy, ashubhanām, ashubhaāyu ane ashubhagotrane pāpakarma kahe chhe. have ahīn ā dashalakṣhaṇadharma pāpane nāsh karavāvāḷo tathā puṇyane upajāvavāvāḷo kahyo; tyān kevaḷ puṇya upajāvavāno abhiprāy rākhī tene na sevavo, kāraṇ ke puṇya paṇ bandh ja chhe. ane ā dharma to pāp je ghātikarma chhe tene nāsh karavāvāḷo chhe. tathā aghātimān je ashubhaprakr̥iti chhe teno nāsh kare chhe. puṇyakarma chhe te sānsārik abhyudayane āpe chhe. have tenāthī (dashalakṣhaṇadharmathī) vyavahāraapekṣhāe teno paṇ (puṇyano paṇ) bandh thāy chhe to te svayamev ja thāy chhe, paṇ tenī vāñchchhā karavī e to sansāranī ja vāñchchhā karavā tulya chhe ane e to nidān (chothun ārttadhyān) thayun, mokṣhanā jignāsune te hoy nahi. jem kheḍūt anāj māṭe khetī kare chhe, tene ghās to svayamev thāy chhe, tenī vāñchchhā te shā māṭe kare? tem mokṣhanā arthīne e puṇyabandhanī vāñchchhā karavī yogya nathī.

bhāvārthaḥ — viṣhayonī tr̥uṣhṇāthī je puṇyane ichchhe chhe e ja tīvrakaṣhāy chhe ane puṇyabandh thāy chhe te to mandakaṣhāyarūp vishuddhatāthī thāy chhe, eṭale je puṇyane ichchhe chhe tene āgāmī puṇyabandh paṇ thato nathī, nidānamātra phaḷ thāy to thāy.
