यः त्यजति मिष्टभोज्यं उपकरणं रागद्वेषसंजनकम् ।
वसतिं ममत्वहेतुकां त्यागगुणः सः भवेत् तस्य ।।४०१।।
arthaḥ — je muni miṣhṭa bhojan chhoḍe, rāg-dveṣhane upajāvavāvāḷān
upakaraṇono tyāg kare tathā mamatvanā kāraṇarūp vasatikāno tyāg kare,
te munine (uttam) tyāgadharma hoy chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — sansār-deh-bhoganā mamatvano tyāg to munine
pahelethī ja chhe; ahīn to je vastuonun kām paḍe chhe tene mukhya karīne
kahyun chhe. āhārathī kām paḍe chhe to tyān saras – nīrasamān mamatva karatā
nathī, pustak-pīñchhī-kamaṇḍal e dharmopakaraṇomān jemanāthī rāg tīvra vadhe
evān na rākhe, je gr̥uhasthajananā kāmamān na āve tathā koī moṭī
vasati – rahevānī jagyāthī kām paḍe to tyān evī jagyāmān na rahe ke
jenāthī mamatva ūpaje. e pramāṇe (uttam) tyāgadharma kahyo.
have uttam ākiñchanyadharmane kahe chheḥ —
तिविहेण जो विवज्जदि चेयणमियरं च सव्वहा संगं ।
लोयववहारविरदो णिग्गंथत्तं हवे तस्स ।।४०२।।
त्रिविधेन यः वर्जयति चेतनं इतरं च सर्वथा सङ्गम् ।
लोकव्यवहारविरतः निर्ग्रन्थत्वं भवेत् तस्य ।।४०२।।
arthaḥ — je muni man-vachan-kāy – kr̥ut-kārit-anumodanā pūrvak
sarva chetan – achetan parigrahano sarvathā tyāg kare chhe – kevo thato thako?
lokavyavahārathī virakta thato thako tyāg kare chhe — te munine nirgranthapaṇun
hoy chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — muni anya parigrah to chhoḍe ja chhe, parantu
munipaṇāmān yogya evā chetan to shiṣhya-saṅgh tathā achetan pustak
-pīñchhī-kamaṇḍal – ādi dharmopakaraṇ ane āhār – vasatikā – deh emanāthī
sarvathā mamatva tyāg kare. evo vichār kare ke ‘hun to ek ātmā ja
dharmānuprekṣhā ]
