[ svāmikārttikeyānuprekṣhā
prashnaḥ — ene bhogavavāmān te pāp utpanna thāy chhe te pachhī
ene bhogavavāno upadesh ahīn shā māṭe āpo chho?
samādhānaḥ — mātra sañchay karī rākhavāmān pratham to mamatva ghaṇun
thāy chhe tathā koī kāraṇe te vināsh pāmī jāy te vakhate viṣhād (khed)
ghaṇo thāy chhe ane vaḷī āsaktapaṇāthī nirantar kaṣhāyabhāv tīvra-malin
rahe chhe, parantu tene bhogavavāmān pariṇām udār rahe chhe – malin rahetā
nathī; vaḷī udāratāpūrvak bhogasāmagrīmān kharachatān jagat paṇ jash kare
chhe tyān paṇ man ujjval (prasanna) rahe chhe, koī anya kāraṇe te
viṇasī jāy to paṇ tyān ghaṇo viṣhād thato nathī ityādi, tene
bhogavavāmān paṇ, guṇ thāy chhe; parantu kr̥upaṇane to tenāthī kāī paṇ
guṇ (phāyado) nathī, mātra mananī malinatānun ja te kāraṇ chhe. vaḷī je
koī teno sarvathā tyāg ja kare chhe to tene kāī ahīn bhogavavāno
upadesh chhe ja nahi.
जो पुण लच्छिं संचदि ण य भुंजदि णेय देदि पत्तेसु ।
सो अप्पाणं वंचदि मणुयत्तं णिप्फलं तस्स ।।१३।।
यः पुनः लक्ष्मीं संचिनोति न च भुङ्क्ते नैव ददाति पात्रेषु ।
सः आत्मानं वंचयति मनुजत्वं निष्फलं तस्य ।।१३।।
arthaḥ — parantu je puruṣh lakṣhmīno mātra sañchay kare chhe paṇ
pātrone arthe āpato nathī, tathā bhogavato paṇ nathī, te to mātra
potānā ātmāne ja ṭhage chhe; evā puruṣhanun manuṣhyapaṇun niṣhphaḷ chhe – vr̥uthā
chhe.
bhāvārthaḥ — je puruṣhe, lakṣhmī pāmīne tene mātra sañchay ja karīne
paṇ dān ke bhogamān na kharachī, to teṇe manuṣhyapaṇun pāmīne shun karyun?
manuṣhyapaṇun niṣhphaḷ ja gumāvyun, ane pote ja ṭhagāyo.
जो संचिऊण लच्छिं धरणियले संठवेदि अइदूरे ।
सो पुरिसो तं लच्छिं पाहाणसमाणियं कुणदि ।।१४।।
